Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Meacham hooked me up with a 'chine shop.

Firerings from Haisleys is what I used. Studding is a chore.

Flush with "washing soda" or Cascade-type dishwasher detergent. It breaks up the oil without making sudsy mess... well, there'll be a mess.

Where is a good machine local shop for head work? Im gone ring it before i have to go through the trouble of flushing everything. Should i go o-rings or fire rings?

Yeah man, let us know.

I live North-NorthWest of Nashville off I-24, about 30 miles out. I assume you'll come in via I-65 though. I work in Nashville, so if you are here around lunch I'd be happy to share some wings or somethin'.

There's about 50 of us in the Nashville area.

I'm 50-some miles SE of the big Nasty. Just holler if you can get out this way.

I'll be at Hollis Creek Antiques every day. 615 563 6930

There's a dyno on the 17th of March, Smyrna. I need to post the details on that...

The local diesel shops tour should include, but not be limited to: Cedar City Diesel (Lebanon), Underwood Squaretires (Dickson), and Bean's Diesel Preformance (Woodbury). Bean is the local ford expert, but he's not completely opposed to the Cummins :D . I don't know anybody in Nashvegas proper. :p

Front axle hub

Mom's truck started making noise today. Pulled it in the garage and jacked up right front. Excessive movement in tire from all directions. Ball joints good. Hub bearing appears to be down and I can also see slight movement where to axle goes into the housing. Got 'er torn down to the axle nut and the 4 bolts holding the hub on. I had one socket to small and one to big. Will try to borrow one from one of the techs tomorrow.

Joe, Meacham, and any others have ony advise on getting it out. I know it should come right out after removing the bolts  , but that would be to easy. Truck was bought used an apparently came from up north, has snow plow bracket mounted to front. Everything is rusty.

2003 Dodge 3500 4x4 auto single wheel.

There's a way to knock those hubs off using the power steering as leverage. I can't remember the process, but I remember it's easy and it knocks them loose real easy... Maybe Gap or someone else remembers. We heard about it on our day trip to TSPerformance in KY.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Mr. Cook, Put Your 12 Point On One Of Your Bolts Along With An Extension Allow The Extension To Press Aginst Your Frame Or Axel And The Use The Power Steering To Push On The Bolt By Turning Your Wheel. Be Sure That The Bolt Is Backed Out Abit.

Contrary to reports posted otherwise. Bean's site says April 7--at this very moment. Maybe it won't change again. :p

Another thing Bean's site says: "Only costs $1. 49 for a 25 gallon" (pertaining to fuel additive) I'll take a couple of those. :p

And on another note. I'm not ignoring anyone, but you'll have to call me for the next few weeks if you need anything. I'm not going to be keeping up here. I've got to work on the fire that's keeping the irons hot.

Snap-on 3\4 ratchet head + 4' handle + 3' cheater pipe + all the pull I could pull = busted socket pieces flying all over the garage and one axle nut that never moved + a few choice words. :{ Lord I apologize.

Oh man. I feel for you. Was it a regular 3/4 drive socket or one of those big black spindle nut sockets? Plenty of liquid wrench before hand?

Sounds like you need one of those big 1,000 ft/lb impact wrenches.

Tonight was a repeat of last night except this time I twisted a 3\4 " extension into.

Even worse than that, the Dodge is on a trailer being pulled by a Duramax. :{ Hope no one sees me driving that. :D

Axle nut torque

Could Mr. Meacham, Mr. Underwood or anyone else please tell me what the front axle nut torques to on a 03 3500 SRW.

I called Dodge and they said " All you can get, plus some". What a professional answer.
