Its legit, they weren't offered in the U. S. mostly available in Canada, export. Right hand drive would probably mean Ireland or UK or a very odd option sheet.

Jeep does make special order Jeeps in RH drive for rural mail delevery people. I see them all the time out my way, but the diesel had to come out of canada like you said.

Don't care for his fuel mileage, my wife's gas 2000 Cherokee averages 22 mpg. The current bid isn't justified for having the diesel. But it would be a neat toy.

they are pretty rare, Esp. with a diesel.

Even the gas RHD's go for a lot on ebay and there all beat up mail trucks

they made a 2. 1l diesel in xjs in about 85 or so, very rare and most who have them want stupid money for them. and as for a wrangler being lighter that a cherokee, the wrangler is about 500 pounds heavier.

Damn! I wish I had known about those things before I bought my Liberty! I LOVE the Liberty, except for the crappy automatic transmission. It is an awesome vehicle, crippled by a junky transmission. That 5-speed (as well as the Cherokee's solid axles) sure is NICE!
