How many Canadians have bought US trucks?

Strange noise at 55mph, and the dumb cupholder

While I know its not a diesel... yet, I found the pics tonight on Allpar has Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, and Jeep car, minivan, and truck information I see the gauge setup above the center display and wonder if the Cummins equipped trucks would have a trans temp, or maybe a possible EGT gauge? Wishful thinking probably. I'm not too sure about the exterior styling, and the big center console inside reminds me of the Hummer H1. It will be interesting to see how a six speed shifter looks in the center console. I really like the bed storage area on the side.

Wonder what the response to the future V8 Cummins will be?

Still glad I bought an 05.

Cheers!

With the price of diesel running so much higher then regular gas, that half ton diesel better offer spectacular fuel economy. Just when it looked like diesel was about to get going we get the DPF/lower mileage/absurd diesel price triple threat:mad:

not to sure about it yet but some parts of it will grow on me eventially. i do like the box rail storage, the old lady has it on her avalanche and is a very handy storage spot

Too bad someone does not make that box storage as a retrofit for the 2nd and 3rd gens. Might we a market there:)

X 2! Would make it real handy for me to get to my tie down straps and such... instead of fishing them out of the back of the truck. #@$%!

Nice.

I like it. The interior appears to be of much better quality than my '07. Hopefully, they softened up the seats and reinforced the door hinges.

I like everything except the fugly grill / frontend

I like the whole package except for the center console. It is rather 'chunky". Exterior is much more stylish and aerodynamic than the current bodystyle. Headlights are a big improvement over the current ones, aesthetically anyways... . lets see if they work at least as well as the current design. I like the overall ergonomics of the dash (but Dodge has always been great here IMHO... not like Ferd... ) and I like the high tech look of the gauges. The rail boxes will be very handy too. Looks like the Sport package will stay away from woodgrain (YEA!!!) and hopefully a full leather option will be offered with the Sport package too. I agree, the leather looks like a much better grade than what's currenty offered. Overall, a home run!!! Now lets hope for a diesel with a 6 speed, touch screen NAV, BlueTooth and Ipod connection!

I like it - that one might even get me out of my trusty 2nd gen - assuming my slide-in would still fit in that bed.

Bob V,

If you look at the different views it shows the storage on both sides. I like it so far. Jeff

Your right, I was looking at the blue truck in the first post wich dosn't have one on the right side. Leads me to believe that it might be an option, $$$$

I wonder if they will bring out the 1500 new body style first like they did in 2002?New 1500 in 2009 and the 2500/3500 in 2010 when the new diesel emmision take effict.

Eh, maybe it needs some getting used to. Center consoles are for grocery getters, soccer moms and retired old guys who really wanted a Cadillac. ;) Hopefully they will still offer a bench type seat with no console so three can sit up front or so you can slide across the seat to get out the passenger side.

The bed storage is a disappointment! The doors should only be in the sides of the bed, not the top rail. With the top of the rail as part of the door you cannot have a cap or ladder rack or camper, etc and use the bins. Plus I'd be concerned about laying large awkward objects on the bin tops while trying to get them in the bed.
