What's your favorite airline? What's your least favorite?



Personally I've had the best luck with Delta, Midwest and American. I avoid US Scareways. Not much experience with United and always wanted to try Southwest.

I have been a Delta Platinum (skyteam) member for the last 4 years. I fly almost exclusively with Delta and NWA. I personally prefer NWA's seats. I do about 300,000 miles in the air each year, and for US carriers, these two are about the best. Nothing compares to Singapore Air Lines though.

I use to be a Chairman Member with UsScareways, but when they dropped their hub in Pittsburgh, I left them. I hated Philadelphia before, and refuse to transfer there.

If I can't get a flight on one of those, I'll take Continental. As for the rest, you can keep 'em, especially US Air, Northwest, and United... .

Jet Blue. Big seats, TV screen in the headrests.

I flew home on a Spirit this past spring. Felt like cattle.

Hated to it but had to vote for United. My preference is anything Star Alliance NOT United or USAir. 90% of my travel is outside the US. Singapore Air and Lufthansa are on the top of my list but usually have to use United to get to Asia. United has dropped a bunch of westbound flights. Came back from Tokyo yesterday on ANA. Not bad at all.

no one can compete with Singapore Airlines... no one. Domestically, I've written off flying. The way they rape their customers is inexcusable.

I don't fly much, but have had good luck with Southwest. Used to really like Reno Air for the hops from Reno to Seattle, but they went under several years ago. I'm happy if they can get me there in one piece somewhat on time. Low expectations make for good experiences, usually!

I have only flown once (4 planes, 1 trip) in my life. I was winter, flights were late, delayed, cramped cabin, I had a bad cold, etc... goes with flying I guess. IIRC it was delta airlines. :{

Should you ever have to fly again and have a problem equalizing or have a cold, have an FA pass the message to the flight deck. We can manually adjust pressure differential and make it less traumatic on the ears and sinus.

Thanks for the tip, but I had had the cold before I boarded. Not the airlines fault, just made the rest of it harder, the waiting and all.

Don't see NWA on there. I fly NWA 99% of the time mainly because the connections work out good for my plans and the mileage/elite plan is decent. Apparently now we're getting mixed in with the Delta crowd.



I typically make 2 trips each month from Seattle to one or two of the following:

Harrisburg, PA

Bucharest Romania via Amsterdam

Sao Paulo, Brazil (Continental)



Last time I flew SW they had some BS seating plan based on who got on the plane first. That was it for me.

I prefer Continental over the rest of them, and not just because they have a hub here in Houston. It actually takes me an extra hour travel time to the big airport to fly Continental. I could easily drive 10 minutes from the house and fly Southwest or Delta.



I've had to fly Southwest the last couple of times. An OK airline, but the no assigned seating doesn't work for me.



Actually, NWA is technically on the list. :-laf:-laf

Yeah Yeah, I know Delta/Northwest... . it'll be interestig to see how that changes life in the air.



I was in Houston last week for some training. Stayed in the Tom Ball area and had classes over on West Hardy Rd. All I can say is I came home with a new appreciation for the sparsely populated no traffic area I live in.
