I'm living in San Diego and looking for a good shop to work on my 2001. Having some transmission issues at the moment, and not a real big fan of dealerships... Any TDR members with a shop down here?

Valley Transmissions have a good reputation here. Cummins Cal Pacific does outstanding general work on the truck as a whole. Pablo Madrid is your contact person. Cummins.com> Engines, Generators, Parts, Emissions, California - Cummins Cal Pacific. Good guy.

For your issue,I think I'd try Joe Salas@ HRC for a starter. They open at about 9:00 am. Joe is definitely running a built transmission and should be able to help you.

I had John at JT Performance install my clutch, he is in Lakeside and only works on Dodge Diesels.
