maybe sag or the service manager that is on this site can tell me if you can enable daytime running lights on an 08 cab and chassis, I had them turned on for my 08 dually and hate to not have them now? I am thinking the selling dealer just does not know how to do it, if they can be turned on maybe a short set of directions would help--thanks

If your truck is an SLT or Laramie try cycling through the options on the overhead monitor panel. There are lots of options for activating light flashes when the remote unlock device is used, door locking at 15 mph, shutting off power to the sound system and aux power sources after exiting the vehicle, and other choices. The daytime running lights may be an option the driver can select.

I believe on the earlier trucks you had to add a relay to the PDC, Don't know if that is still the case with 08. bg

Yup, there is a slot for a relay n my '03 for DRL. That's pretty cool because I will know what to pull if Dodge decides to make this waste of electrical power a "standard feature".

On the GM vehicles, you can pull a fuse to disable DRL.

As a test, swap another relay into the DRL plug and see if that works. I have never tried it, as I prefer to choose when to use my headlights or not.

According the body builders guide all Cab chasis come with the taillights hooked together like older vehicles had. This makes it easier for the upfitters and alleviates the lamp out on hte rear. Should be no problem for a competant tech at the dealership to hook ya up using starscan.

Sorry, my '03 came with a pickup bed. I later swapped it to a flatbed with LED lights and sometimes get the annoying "lamp out". Did not realize there was a difference in a 3500 "dually" and a 3500 cab and chassis in this respect...
