there is a test that was done on these and published in tdr the cfm+ is the best for several reasons. we bought a ats and cfm+ just before the article came out. it was obvious the cfm+ was what we wanted to use and bought more of them. we took the ats and a die grinder and about an hour later we had it half as good as the cfm+ and it can not be made any more than this.

I have also been considering an intake but my truck is close to stock. I was wondering if I would see a difference. I have a programmer, air intake, fuel pump/system mods and gauges as only engine mods and mostly just pull gooseneck.

I see many high powered trucks still with stock intakes... . Is it more a driviability thing? Are the improvments (felt and/or dyno) worth the money spent? Is everybody running grid heaters or deleteing them? How about grinding the underside of the top intake plate, etc. ?

BOB4X4 likes to warm the air with the heatsink "AFE"

P-Bar likes the cool runnins' of the CFM+:-laf

:-laf I will compare my egt's with any one side by side on a grade towing or ripping up a sand dune.

I also don't have to worry about blowing up my intake at 50 psi while chasing the B1k. I need to stay in front of the race truck not on the road side patching my ride

I need depedability+ when I am doing my race duties. I carry spares for the race truck but build mine to get by with less spare parts needed Oo.

Ah yes the urban legend reappears

Plastics will fail... ... ..... it is only a matter of when. Some will never push their rigs hard enough or enjoy them in such a fashion to see it. The real enthusiast will ;)
