The other day i was installing a radio had the carpet up on pass. side front was totally wet with clear water any ideas where it might be comeing from. 2003 guad cab 6spd 102,000 mi. Have already delt with leaky clearence light issue.
I suffered with that for months trying all the obvious things. Finally put a sprinkler on the roof and sat in truck with carpet up. Found seal around back glass had shrunk on top pass. corner and water ran down C-post to pass. floorboard. caulked around glass and so far no leak.
A trick I learned at Kenworth is put the heater on maximum heat and fan on high to pressurize the cab. With the engine running to keep the heat up and closed the doors.
Spray the cab etc with a soapy water solution and where bubbles appear that is where you leak is.
Mine's not a 3rd gen but I have also seen this problem on other vehicles. The AC drain on mine had a very slight upward angle to it where it came through the firewall. This allowed the water to drain back down the little pipe, through the foam grommet around it at the firewall, and into my floorbaord. I stuck a 1' long piece of 5/8" heater hose on the tube and since have not had any issues.
