Just got to ride in a friend's power wagon(only comes in hemi). My 3500 C&C rides like a cadillac compared to it. Unless you are climbing rocks I don't know why a 3/4 ton 4x4 with a diesel wouldn't be a much better choice. Wish you could mount the winch behind the bumper on a diesel like they do on the power wagon though. the power wagon has a 4. 56 rearend and his gets 12mpg on the road not pulling anything.

I went from an '05 Power Wagon to my CTD. I was in love with my PW at the time, but when I look back on it, I should have gone with the diesel in the first place.

My grandson bought a hemi-powered Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 several years ago. I rode in it a couple of times. It was pitiful. The hemi roared and sucked gas but could hardly move the truck. He kept it about a year.

The Chrysler/Dodge hemi is a great motor in a Chrysler 300 or Dodge Charger sedan. They accelerate fast and will run around 158 mph in the police version without speed limiter but for powering a heavy pickup or pulling a heavy load they can't do much more than buzz and burn gasoline.

A friend has a 2500 QC SB Hemi and it's quick. The transmission is soft but there are programmers coming out that "adjust" the torque management and shift points. It does like to suck back the gas.
