I'm going to start adding gauges.
What gauges are the most beneficial?
I would like to limit it to a 3 gauge on the dash for primary gauges, and will consider a 2 or 3 gauge pod above the mirror.
Also, any thoughts on which gauges could be shared, via a rotary switch or simple toggle.

I am thinking EGT, Boost, Rail pressure, Lift Pump Pressure, and Turbo Drive Pressure.

By looking at the truck in your signature, I would suggest EGT and Boost. .

Drive presusre is usually only beneficail if you are running a fairly heavily modded engine with a big single or a set of twins. . Rail pressure is pretty much the same way unless you are wanting to monitor it for troubleshooting purposes.

I have a Westach Dual EGT/Boost gauge mounted in the A-pillar pod which still retains the oem grab handle.
Genos sells both the dual gauge and the handle/pod for a reasonable price.

Eventually I would ALSO like to install a Westach Dual Voltmeter/Ammeter, a Dual Oil Pressure/Oil temperature, a Dual transmission Temp/Rear Diff Temp and also likely a Dual (Lift Pump) Fuel Pressure gauge with senders mounted both pre and post filter so that I can see, rather then guess, when to change my fuel filters

All of these gauges are available by custom order from Westach if you call them. You can check them out by clicking on Products, then dual gauges, then 2" dual gauges here--

Westach

I will mount them in an autometer overhead pod like done here, but I will use a quad pod rather the triple pod--

Genos actaully has several of the Autometer overhead quad pods which they are selling at their OLD price for $20 less then what they are availbale for now at other stores. I know that because I just ordered it from them last week.

I might also add one of these air filter restriction gauges from Donaldson--

As you can tell, I like gauges, I like the Westach Dual gauges and I don't mind my truck looking like a plane cockpit as long as the gauges do NOT interfere with my field of view.

I am not quite sure yet where I will mount the Donaldoson gauge.
I might try to get a broken instrument cluster for my truck from someone to see if it is at all possible to mount couple of gauges in the dash where the oem oil pressure and voltmeter are, as I will no longer be using those, though my gut feeling is that it will be difficult to impossble to mount an aftermarket gauge in the factory cluster without ruining the factory cluster circiut boards. Since I don't mind difficult, though I try to avoid impossible, I am going to check it out if I can find the broken cluster.

I am wanting to figure out all the gauges that I'm going to need in the future so I don't have to re-arrange things every other year during the quest for more :D.
I'm actually trying to plan ahead for once.

On the dash I run Pyro, Boost and Fuel Pressure ( low pressure ). On the pillar I have air pressure ( I have on board air ) Oil pressure ( I don't like the factory sender) and Coolant temp as well. If I had an auto I would have had a temp gauge for that. All are Isspro EV2. Shadrach

I have the same setup... I wanted a factory appearance and to be able to retain the factory Oh SHAT handle. .

My truch died on me this past week because I did not know I had a fuel pressure problem. I just had to replace my injection pump because my Westech fuel gauge was reading 15 psi when there was actually hardly no fuel pressure at all. I unhooked all lines to the fuel sendor and it still said 15 psi. I am going to send the gauge and sendor back to Westech to see what happened. {Does anyone think they will take responsability for the injection pump?} maybe when H**l freezes over.

On another note-Does anyone have a recomendation on the best type of fuel sender that will last more than a couple of years?
