On my '06 3500 the right turn signal indicator light stopped working. The exterior lights all work good and the flasher noise still is operational. Everything works except the green arrow light in the instrument cluster. Is there a bulb to be replaced or am I in for an expensive replacement of the instument cluster. I read in the factory repair manual the illumination is from a LED soldered in the circuit board. Is this something that is repairable? Has anyone had this happen? The entire cluster was replaced back in Sept. 2010 when I bought the truck from the dealership because the tach wasn't working. Any suggestions.

Just got a letter from Chrysler, stating that there was a problem with some turn signal indicators. They sometimes indicate left when you want right and vice-versa.

same here... would REALLY like to get another letter on the instrument cluster... maybe one for the HVAC doors, and one for the wires on the back doors breaking...

yes, I also recived a letter reguarding this. They will cover costs if you already repaired it, or dealer will repair it up to 10 years or 150k miles. Now when are they going to send a letter about the junk front end.....

I know about the multifunction switch malfunction. I had already repaired it by dissassembling and cleaning out the contacts. I also contacted Chrysler and the factory informed me the switch is covered under warranty. I wonder if this is related to the switch. What is confusing is the lights continue to work normally on the outside, even the cadence of the lights and flasher sound have been unchanged. Is the switch the culprit? Is there a broken or burnt connector in the cluster? I'm open to suggestions, just would rather not pay the stealership a bale of cash to tell me I need to spend even more for something I could repair myself.

Check out th eDodge owner's website, there is contact information where you submit your information and vin number to dodge, they emailed me back telling me my multifunction switch is covered under an extended warranty, 10 years and 150,000 miles.

I changed all the exterior bulbs today, just to see if there was an issue with them causing my problem, nope, didn't fix. I did see however, in the dark, the right turn indicator is lighting up very dimly. Tomorrow, I'm going to delve further into taking apart the dash and instrument cluster. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a bad connection somewhere. Who knows? I also bit the bullet and scheduled an appointment with stealership to see if the multifunction switch is the actual cause. They told me it could take hours to replace the switch. I didn't let on that I've already downloaded the factory service bulletin and know what needs to be done, and that it only pays 20 time units flat rate. That is about 15 minutes. Since I've had it all apart once before, I know it is a 10 minute job.

Broke down and visited the stealership today. They first told me they had not heard of any extended warranty with the multifunction switch, I provided them with the printout compliments of Chrysler. They also told me I was the first customer to ever come in for this problem. The tech found nothing wrong with multifunction switch, ( I fixed as described here in TDR) and claimed he could not just throw another one in. He did run diagnostics on the cabin to tell me I needed a new instrument cluster. First he reported it needed a new bulb, BULB? there are diodes hard wired into the circuit board, which he admitted after researching it. Well I'm out $130 to find out what I already knew and they would not replace the multifunction switch. The sad part is they wanted over 460 for a new cluster not including labor. I balked, paid the 130, let them know I could buy a new cluster outright for 260ish from Dodge direct. Now if I go ahead and get another cluster, do I have to flash it to my truck?
