I discovered the little oval plugs that are in my front inner wheel wells are missing. These are the ones you remove to access the back headlight assembly nut. They are made of rubber. Try as I might, I've been unable to locate any. The dealer doesnt' even have them listed, claim I have to purchase the entire inner fender well. I searched a few junk yards with no luck. Any suggestions on where to buy or know of where I can get these.

I will have a look tomorrow if you do not get an answer later tonight. They should be available...

Mike. :)

I looked up the parts diagrams myself as well. Couldn't find them listed anywhere. A place down in Alabama told me on the phone, he had several '06s in his yard and I was welcome to come and pull a couple out. I explained I live in New York and wouldn't be coming down. He told me handling and shipping would cost 30 bucks, for a 5 dollar part. I declined his offer. I'm still looking, and hoping.

Have you tried "Home Depot" or "Lowe's"? I'm sure they have some type of "plug" you could use, and they may even have some screws that may work. I have purchased several
"Push-in" type plugs that would work well for your application. You just need to find the correct size.

thought of that too... . but they are oval and would not think they have them,,,,I think the parts guy at the dealer was to lazy to take a min to look for them. ,,,

I spent some time yesterday scouring the Dodge 2006 and 2007 Dodge Parts Fiche and came up with nothing, nada, zilch.

At lunch I will call one of my Dodge buddies and see if he can find the part number, I think that they have a supplement with stuff like that in it.

If that fails I will pop one out of my '06 tomorrow and see if there is a part number or something on it.

Mike, thanks for looking. When I visited the dealership, the parts guy pulled one from a used truck on the lot to look for a number, NADA. If a junkyard is around, and if they have an '06, and if the plugs are still in it I will buy them... . I'm hoping somewhere out there I can scronge up these little buggers. If anyone knows of a '06 being parted out that still might have these, let me know.

I've found the plugs! First, thanks for all the input from fellow TDR members. I found a set locally from a scrap yard. He wouldnt' let me pay for them. These also had part numbers on them, 55257088AB.

That's great!!!

I had two experienced Dodge parts men try to find them and they failed miserably just like I did.

I just searched the part number and the only reference for it on line is for 2011-2012 Dodge Durango front inner fenders.
