7 pin trailer wiring help?

Blowout plug.....

I am contemplating an RV cover for the winter and storing TT behind my barn. TT is too long to get into the barn.
What is everyones thoughts on these covers? Good, bad....I need to hear from you.
I live in the snow belt along the Lake Michigan and if this winter is anything like the last one.. we had a lot of snow. Am I going to have to remove snow from the camper roof every time it snows? Even with a cover over it?

I put a cover on mine that I got from Camping World when they were on sale.... we drain the RV, get it ready for winter... we have a in line thermostat that we can set to 40* F and plug in an electric heater.... we have inserts for the ceiling vents and skylight to add 3" of insulation to them..... and than put the cover on... its built from 2 different types of cloth... .the roof is water proof and the sides are breathable material... we've done this several winters and see this as the best way to do it.... BTW I open the drain on the water heater... (sacrificial anode) when I'm at the big box store I buy a new one for a hot water heater... usually ever other year... I cut it to length... its half the price and almost 50% longer than one made for an RV water tank.... so the plug stays out all winter and the new one goes back in the spring.....

Hope this gives you some ideas....

I have the Adco designer series cover for the 32' 5ver. I had the newest version about 3 months before it literally was turning to powder, took pictures and emailed to Adco. They replaced the cover under warranty and I paid shipping. Other than that it has worked very well. You will want to add foam, tennis balls, pipe insulation, folded terry cloths to cover sharp edges. I do not have the snow problem but it could be a problem with weight if it gets deep enough with or without a cover.

I inherited an Adco cover from the previous owner when I bought the camper almost new. When the first Winter came around I looked in the box and realized the cover had never been used, and decided that it would take more than me to get it properly installed. Coupled with the fact that we sometimes head to the Gulf Coast several times during the Winter which would necessitate several coverings, I opted for a metal canopy 18'X36'. I think I've got the best of two seasons in that the metal canopy protects the roof during the heat and UVL of the Summer as well as other times when not being used.

I have learned the hard way from owning previous campers that anything is better than nothing. Good Luck, Ed

You need a bigger barn!

Barn is 35'x95' but the doors are situated on the 35' side. Those are outside measurements. No other way for entry doors to be due to terrain of land. That and it was built in 1870's...stone walls are 4 ft thick.

I just cover the A/C unit. Last winter we had to shovel it off twice. We do not get on the roof at first until we pull all of the loose snow off from the side. I know where all of the vent s and skylights are and act accordingly.

I have seen people up here cover them with a tarp and cause more damage than if it simply sat uncovered.

Roof is in excellent condition, going into it's 9th year of outdoor winter storage.

I use an Adco cover on mine here in CO to protect it from the sun, especially. I just made sure to pad the corners (with foam, attached with painters tape for easy removal) and edges of the trailer because we get a lot of wind. Going on my 2nd season of cover usage. Of the RVs in the storage place where keep mine, most are uncovered, but I would recommend covering it.

I put a cover on my 36' 5th wheel. Never worried about the snow but then again I am currently on deployment in the middle-east.
