Wife needed a trailer for her painting business, but as luck would have it my Can Am will fit right in it...wink, wink......

So I came home with one yesterday..

Nice, Mike! I have a 7x14,also. I'd go bigger if I had it to do again, but it started off for my race bike, and now it drags my Wildcat around. It's tough to get in and out of the Wildcat in there, but it's given good service since 2003. I put some Moduline cabinets and a helmet holder in the front, and a fold down work bench on one wall. Next is a fold-down bed... that e-track doesn't feel too good through my sleeping bag:{

Two 3500 lb axles with brakes all around on that one?

Need to add some interior accessories in the spring. The Can Am fits pretty good, but I wouldn't want a trailer that was any narrower for sure.

It's a used 2015, nubs still on tires. Don't have a spec sheet (yet) as a result.

It'll be something that finds 101 uses once you have it. LOL Mine has moved several houses of furniture, only one of which was ours, acted as temporary storage, and hauled all sorts of goodies. The only time it was loaded to the max was when I volunteered it to haul books for the local book fair. My wife and here helpers didn't seem to grasp how heavy that many cubic feet of paper is when it's packed floor to ceiling, front to back:--)

Agreed. I have a 6x12 V-Nose (wish it was a little bigger) that I use for everything. It was purchased for my ATV, but has been used above and beyond my expectations.

Another long weekend?

Aluuummmminum. Mmmmmm. Not too thrilled with the front strap angle. Maybe put rings further forward? Nice size. Million uses.

Can Am needs to go to the rear just a little. Still experimenting with location. Probably will back it in.

Tie rings are mounted all the way to the front and rear of trailer floor.

And yes, another long weekend for sure.:D

Hope the hell I can get through Christmas without dragging something else home.....:-laf

Hey- at least it's HAPPY stuff, It's not like you went to Vegas or something. Any plans to coat the aluminum down below?

Aluuummmminum. Mmmmmm. .

Your not Mmmmmmmm'ing about the aluminum, right???:-laf

I have been at war with myself over the aluminum versus steel frame thingy for a couple of months now. Finally decided that I had not seen or heard of any aluminum framed trailers snapping in half or rusting out. Resale is better in this area for the aluminum trailers as well...

It's all about the alloy used....

These are aluminum framed as well....

Coat it??? Tell me more.

Mmmmmmmmmm, yea like Homer n donuts.

I was hoping you had coating ideas to share, but my suggestion would be to use the 3M rubberized undercoating in a can (08881 I think) we use it a lot and it sticks well and dries pretty flat- doesn't flake. I'm aware of the widespread use of alum trailers, but these are always moving and being washed. Nothing like a calcium chloride soaking and then put away wet without a wash.

Chicago Rawhide / SKF have teamed up with Krown Products out of Canada. I have several of the corrosion protection offerings out in my showroom so I'll look tomorrow to see what they say about aluminum treatment. I am hoping that the trailer can simply set in a snowbank until spring BUT I'll probably have to dig it out for some reason or another.

Now you've got me running the steel vs aluminum soundtrack in my head again....probably better not tell the wife that I might have to change my mind AGAIN....:D:-laf

Mikey,

Don't cha know, ya gotta have a Hensley to tow dat thing, com'on get with the times.

Geez some guys just don't get it.

I wonder how a liberal coat of cosmoline would look on there?
