My 14 CC 2500 longhorn. has the panel aux switches and I would rather have the seat heater cool buttons also the steering wheel heater buttons. I guess this is something I would have to buy at the dealership? I wonder how much they are

You are pretty much stuck with what you have. I'm the opposite; would rather have the aux switches.

In my truck I have all of what you are looking for. I guess it is what style of truck you have.

Are the seat heat switches in the radio??

When you get the aux switches, all the seat heat/cool buttons, etc. are replaced with the aux switches and you have to turn on those features through the 8.4 evic screen. I did not get them for that reason.....seemed like a pain to me.

Not much of a pain. Just takes less than 5 seconds to turn on.

Exactly....:-laf At the end of the work week, I have 25 more seconds on Friday to do something constructive!:-laf My 2014, which I bought off the lot didn't have them. When FCA ordered my 2016, I thought about getting them but couldn't think of anything I would hook them up to, so I passed on them.

I bought mine with the aux switches NOT knowing I actually lost the heating/cooling switches. I'm a check every box type of guy when I order. Heck, I even checked the box for the winter grill cover living in Arizona. I also have the chrome side steps on my Longhorn because I checked that box, not knowing it comes with body colored steps and checking said box effectively deletes those and adds chrome, but I digress. LOL Anyway, I regretted this option as I regularly either have the seat cooler or heater on and/or the steering wheel heater, particularly when my wife is in the truck. I will likely never use the Aux switches, even though I have "big plans" for them. I just know I'll never get around to it, and in the meantime I have to go into the radio to turn my seat heater on. :)

I opted for the aux switches when I upgraded from the '13 to '14 because I had big plans for them also. Figured they were well worth the $125 investment. I kinda now regret not only getting the aux switches but also the 3rd brake light camera as well. I will eventually do something with the switches but to date I used the steering wheel and seat warmer multiple times and the switches haven't been used yet. Not sure if its worth the extra few steps going through the radio. I also miss the rear backup camera going from the 8.4 radio screen to the rear view mirror. Ughhhh....

I did not know by ordering the up fitters it would eliminate the buttons mentioned. So far not a big deal. So far no plans for switches.

Really HATE the backup in mirror and bed cam is useless.

Anyone want a nice 15 LongHorn think I will order a 16.

I guess it depends on your needs. I searched like no tomorrow for aux switches. All I ever came up with were Tradesman models.

x2. Really wish our '15 radios could be flashed and some sort of dongle be purchased to have both feeds through the radio. I frequently hook up to tag trailers, and the small screen really sucks... not to mention it's not great for backing up into spots either...though I mainly use my mirrors, and only glance to the screen to see where to stop. Biggest issue for me is backing up to trailers. Funny how things change over the years. I woulda been happy with a postage stamp size screen in my second gen, and here I'm complaining about this in my 4th gen. :)

I ordered the Auxiliary switches on my new truck. The simple reason was I do not really want to be drilling holes in the dashboard of my new truck. I will be adding a couple of work lights and I want to be able to have a plug and play instead of having to wire directly to the battery's. I know that kind sounds funny but you never know if you will need a switch.

I need 5 more of the aux switches in my dash. I've used the five that are there and am now adding two more now!!! I'm a red neck gadget for everything kind of guy.

Darn, Ron! You should have never climbed in Cherry and saw all those control buttons and Park View on the 8.4. If you hook up and go to Q, run on over here for a few days. I can check on getting you in on my PPA discount. Spot next to us is still empty, I could check to see when someone is coming in on it. I even have a spare race truck. We could play on parks paved oval.

When I bought mine I did allot of research of what I wanted on a truck, then I found the dealer that had that truck in the color I wanted. I found that truck had everything they put on a truck I think. Ive had it now 17 months and I'm still finding stuff on this thing that I didn't know it had, really cool, and got it for a helliva deal, I really don't think the dealer ship new what they were selling, after we got home and I went back to my notes and got back on the net and was looking around, I crapped, we got this truck for the same price as a big horn, I couldn't believe it. I just smiled, grab the wife said let go to dinner and celebrate!

I really think that after doing all of the research that I have into buying a New Vehicle we all suffer from [FONT=arial, sans-serif]Analysis Paralysis !

I am happy the new truck is finally come to not being a dream anymore, I need to get my wife a new vehicle now.

So can somebody tell me where and how to hook up to the aux switches? I've read the manual that came with my '16 half ton and even though it says all vehicles it doesn't even mention the switches. My '16 Limited Megacab will be here in the next week or two and it has the switches. Are they relayed? What's the amperage capacity?

Also, didn't I read that BOTH cameras are displayed on the 8.4" screen now? I love the way I can call up the tailgate camera ANYTIME I want to on my Ecodiesel! Please tell me it's the same way with the 3rd brake light camera too!

Yes, you'll be able to call up the cargo camera from within the touchscreen while driving, it only displays about 10 or 15 seconds though when moving. It stays on indefinitely when speed is zero.

Here's the info on the aux switches:
