I recall some Chrysler employee (or dealer employee?) back in the early 2000's on the old Moparchat forum also stating that the Saltillo trucks were the best in quality.

I'm all for things being built in America. Companys have No choice but to build quality products today. If you don't you're out of business and will not be missed. As for the cost... The profit margin on most trucks and SUV's is way over 50%. Why is that Because WE WANT THEM! Do you really think that Hell Cat Challanger cost what they were selling for? The time is now to show the world that we Americans Home of the smartist most innovative people in the world can step up and build a quality product at a fair price. On another thought how many Skilled Blue Collar workers could be paid with the money that was ****** away in those Profit Sharing Checks that those CEO's cash in each year.... Don't get me started....

Ed;
Caterpillar has not own the Challenger line of tractors since early 2000's. Cat sold off the line to AGCO with the understanding if a Cat dealer ordered a Challenger tractor than the tractor would be branded with CAT decals if not a Cat dealer than the tractor would have AGCO decals. Caterpillar got out of the farming business because Cat did not have the dealer network to support a farmer like Deer has.

Hell Cat Challanger a Dodge performance sports 700+ Hp car Not a tractor. And they were selling for 2 to 3 times the sticker price... When you could find them.

I tried to talk the young man working in my section (single guy) into buying the Challenger SRT Hellcat. I pointed out it had nothing to do with the G forces of acceleration and had everything to do with G strings. :p

He told me not to try living vicariously through him.

I still have no idea what he is talking about.....:D

And most don't.

And that somehow minimizes the ones that do :rolleyes: Shouldn't be an issue, and its heard time after time.

Maybe the DEF until they get it refined, but vibration on a good number of trucks. We represent a small majority of Ram owners here, so your statement most don't , is a stretch. :confused:

Yawn.

Does the paint on the Saltillo trucks hold up any better than the others?

Don't know about a comparison and my 99 is cleaned and waxed regularly. Made in Mexico.

Sheesh, you're more argumentative than I am... :rolleyes:

I'm sure Rusty didn't mean or imply as much in his statement as you perceived.

I can only speak for my '06 but at that time the VOC laws were far less strict in Mexico so yes, it is better paint from what I can see.

Still as shiny as new. I've had a few rock chips that were easily fixed using Mopar Inferno Red touch up paint. I can't paint for crap but using a daub of paint on a rock chip results in a repair that you have to really try to find later on.
One of the best colors ever as far as I'm concerned.
