Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Ruger Mk IV .22 Pistol Recall

Well, this morning has finally arrived, I'll be staged in hour with 1200 other Vets and their motorcycles for the run to the wall in Washington DC. This ride starts in SoCal, and we'll ride all the way, over the next 10 days, rain or shine, to D.C. and the Wall. It'd be awesome to see some TDR members supporting us Vets and the GI's who didn't return along the three routes we can take. There will be crowds over the over passes and lining the city streets as we ride by. We'll also ride amongst many thousands of other bikes in Rolling Thunder in DC as well. Check our three routes at this site, hope to meet some of you there. https://www.rftw.us/

I didn't know they came from so far! Know some MC's that have been running down for years. It's a great and worthy cause. You'll have a great time! Have a great ride.

Have a safe ride. I have done it from up here in New England 5 times and it is very emotional for me.

The memorials are amazing. I was taken aback by the Korean War memorial and hunted down my late wife's brother on the wall.

I worked for Freightliner Truck Man. for 14 years, and every year we would build a Ride of Pride , Rolling Thunder Truck that would make that trip. This was one of them.

Is the truck that hauls the portable "wall" around? I remember it came to my area on one of the Fleet Weeks after 9/11.

I believe they did haul the portable wall. I had some pictures of some of the other ones we built but can't seem to find them.

Made it to Flagstaff, all fuel and food was donated, we didn't spend a dime. It's amazing to see all the bikes get fueled and back in formation in 30 minutes, at every stop.

Pictures are hard to take, that would show all of the bikes on the run, due to military type organization when it comes to time constraints at the stops. But for those TDR members here in Albuquerque NM, can watch it on the local news. They filmed us while we were being escorted in by the police, they shut down the entire interstate 40, @ 20 miles before, to include shutting down the freeway system and city streets as well, as we reached our destination. The helicopter had channel 13 on it that filmed us. But I can't seem to find it on the telivision menu here in the hotel. I brought a nice Cannon SLR digital camera, I just don't have the time to get decent pictures with it, so here's some pics my buddy took with his helmet cam. These pictures only repesent a fraction of the bikes on this run. The other two route's have double of our 250ish bikes. I understand RFTW on facebook has lots of pics and video's if anyone is interested.

What a sight that is, we get Rally's here every week end for week end rides but never any thing like your in.
Be safe on your trip.

To give an update on RFTW, we are currently in Shawnee OK. We rode through some rain/sleet while running through NM to Amerillo TX at 65 mph in formation, without breaking ranks. I do have a helmet cam video of this, but I don't know if I can download such a file here at TDR. The outpouring of love for us Vets is awesome to experience first hand. Even though several tornados caused damage near Shawnee OK, the citizens of Oklahoma still managed to support RFTW. Also while in Amerillo, we called Big Texans steak house and they had a limousine with horns on the hood, pick us up at the Hotel. The steak was great (neither of us tried to eat the 72oz challenge) and the first class service was nice.
