Thanks, TDR Staff

When did they start this?

"Born Ready"

Back from the mountains did some scouting for the upcoming hunting season, went to a incognito, Secret Gathering of the local Packers & Outfitters of the area. lots of shooting blackpowder rifles drinking of some kind of fluid that is a one fits all option, campfire starter, lighter fluid incase for Zippo ran dry & teeth whitener for those that still have at least 1.

hope that all are in good health & that the Boy Scouts of the website have gained access to their " MAN HOOD " from their wives purse so they can play games in costume or cut & paste to their hearts desire about things that they really have N0 IDEA of what their true feelings are unless they read someplace WHAT THEY SHOULD BE!!!

HAVE A BLESSED DAY GUY'S

BIG :D

HA-HA-
Good to have you back, you've been missed.

I miss seeing your posts!

Love seeing the tranquillity photos of MT, along with a bit of attitude lol!!

I love this time of year in WY, but also hate it when the license plates begin to change colors :-laf

Tighten you seat belts, gonna be a bumpy ride.

BIG,

Greetings and salutations to Penny, a carrot for the Mules and a hello to you to.

Had a change of heart when a backpacker broke her ankle & needed some assistance out of a 25 mile jam or multi thousand dollar copter ride out of the mountains. It amazes me the LACK of not only equipment preparation but physical. I don't believe that her male escort was thought of highly after he refused to MAN-UP & pack out more than his share. She found a better ride on one of the FATTER MULES WHILE HE WALKED OUT!!

Thats ok Gary being in the saddle for at least 12 hours a day every other day for 3 weeks left me with a well worn but hardened WALLET, if someone wants to chew on it, its got to be as if they are chewing on an 11-24.5 truck tire

Good to have you back Big. Can't wait to see some of the Man Hoodless on here crying because someone has spoke the truth of the real world.

Seen plenty of the real world CB, crying wasn't much of a choice since I was by myself except for the Mules & I didn't want them mules to see me BOO HOO-ING :-laf

Had a good time though, did do pretty well in the Black Powder Shooting competition, split three playing cards on edge in half at 25 yards.
Placed second in the Tomahawk Throw
I don't think ANYONE!! won in the white lighting guzzling event some of the contestants were so enthusiastic they BARFED WITH JOY

I don't think I could split three playing cards at 2.5inchs with a butcher knife. That is some mighty fine shooting.

I really miss those days, We used to have a Mountain man competition here in Williams AZ years ago, i've placed very well in the cinaca runs.
We had the playing card shoot, as well as the egg shoot, keep backing up 5 yrds till you missed. then you had to eat the egg. we had tomahawk throw and starting a fire with flint n steel. make sure you had plenty of char.
Awe the good ol days.

Nothing like that anymore around here sadly. traders row was a great way to get all the supplies one needed. i don't think i'd fit into my skins anymore either, my moccasin wouldn't even fit. but I do still have dry powder and lead.

First one I've been to here, IT WONT BE THE LAST!!!
sold a few of the knives that I made with a hobby that I started a year or so ago, sold some of the skins that SIL made into clothes & some canvas tents & leather things her husband made took orders for a bunch more.

most everyone that attended was either a packer or outfitter some BOTH!!
lots of campfire decisions about new regs & upcoming crap forced upon us that do the work by others THAT HAVEN'T A CLUE.

Back to spread discontent from just my posting of this message.
Been busy with summer chores so we can get ready for the two reasons Winter and most importantly, HUNTING SEASON!!!!!
Hope that everyone is in good shape (even the two that have disowned me HA HA HA)

take care and will check in to say HEY!!! from time to time

BIG

Getting ready to head back in to drop off equipment for hunting season, not far away. been doing all the NOT SO FUN things around the house that keeps the wife from belly-achin about me going.

hope everyone is enjoying the summer time, it won't be long before the white stuff comes again.

BIG & Penny

Hope everyone in the path of BIG WINDS made it alright.
We have taken an offer that puts us in Indianapolis IN for a few years with ample time to fly back to MT often.
We actually wouldn't live in or near Indy its just another BIG CITY SEPTIC TANK!!!!
we along with our Daughter & her Husband( where they met) returned, they plan to live here permanently its where her husbands from.
the property they bought has a house that we're living in, in the town of Greencastle IN Putnam County 40 miles outside Indy.
The Job I couldn't turn down involves a Major oil company & their transportation / Driver problems.

BIG

You'll be near the kids and Grand-kids, always a plus for Penny, that's why I own a home in Vegas, that I'll be taking back in March when the lease is up. I'm relocating there in 30 Days living out of my 5ver until March. I'm sure you'll straiten out the transportation co. Good luck in Indiana.

RV, half & half on the Grandchildren, our Son is running the Cattle operation full time now in MT. Ive felt like I have given more to our Son than to our Daughter. I know cattle & livestock so helping our Son was easy, our Daughter was a Surgical Nurse something that I have no idea of what she did other than it was WAY ABOVE MY PAY GRADE!!

Her & her Husband talked to me about moving to IN permanently, they didn't want to live in the city so they were looking at property. they found 650 acres that 90% of the land was being leased by a commercial grower but they had a problem qualifying so I went to our lawyers to find an answer, we are part owners in the operation and in A few years will make them a deal that gives them full control and ownership.

as it worked out I received a call from a friend who I worked with on disaster relief projects, then his boss made an offer that I couldn't refuse money wise. Penny & I talked and have decided that anything I make will go into an account for ALL of our Grandchildren for their education & hopefully with a family full of investment people they may never really need to work.

Thats the plan for now, this years hunting was cut short with the fires and will affect it for at least a couple of years to come. This so called job that I do is something that I DO KNOW. I can be some assistance to our Daughters family looking into the building of their home.

BIG

Big, I tip my hat to you sir. Sounds like a great plan! I'm considering taking on another pipeline management project or two with the money going for education seed money for the grand kids.

Having been out of the patch for going on 3 years now it remains to be seen if projects are still there for someone at my age/experience level. Time will tell.

Good luck, although sorry to hear about the abbreviated hunting/guiding season.

The LAST THING I thought about was going back to work when the phone rang, in fact I was having a bowl of multi grain Cherrios with my oldest Grandson talking about the work plan for the day.

As for OUR AGE!!!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA BROTHER THERE'S TRICKS THAT US OLD DOGS TAKE FOR GRANTED THAT THESE SNOWFLAKE MILLENNIALS haven't even got a clue of.

The money and what it could do for our Grandchildren is why I'm doing this, I've been VERRY FORTUNATE to have made enough so that Penny & and I don't need to work. With todays political AXX HOLES who knows whats waiting for the young-ins.

good luck Brother there's lots of positions for knowledge
