I'm looking to upgrade my Gen3 with Gen4 Mirrors for better sight.

Now i need to know which brand or vendor has the "good" ones that do not rattle or else, i want them rocksolid like the OEMs.

Because a buddy of mine bought some chinas on ebay and they look good but are not.
thanks

There are many variations of 4th gen mirrors,do you have an option code of the version you want

In your part of the world some drive on the left of the roads, here in Oklahoma we drive what is left of the roads. So far no problems with rattle, vibration, and mirror shimmy. Much better than the worn out OE ones that shimmied in the slip stream. I like the full height\width parallax view much better, lot easier to see little motorized roller skates when they sneak into blind spots. You have to wire the blinkers in as that isn't in the harness. Wish they would have included puddle lights on them but not sure the truck has the programming for it.

O.K. two links are provided. One for the 3rd gen upgrade to 4th gen mirrors and the other for 4th gen mirrors. Will either work? Looks like the upgraded 3rd gens don't have turn signals as the main difference. Oh and a price difference of $80 as well. Here are the links;

4th gen mirrors won't work without modifications, the bolt pattern is different and not sure re-drilling allow the mirror to fit correctly.

Those both fit your third gen truck,

the first link is fourth gen style heated mirror heads on a third gen mounting arm.

the second link is fourth gen style heated mirror heads on a third gen mounting arm with the power fold feature as well.

As long as you enter your year, make and model the choices shown below that all fit your truck from what I see...

I unpacked Ozy's last weekend and they look like a nice upgrade, may order a set for me. I want the turn signal option though...

Thanks for the clarification. I'd rather have the turn signals over the power fold. I assume I'd have to run wires to the front turn signals to make them functional. Is that correct? I have 3rd gen folding, flip out, heated mirrors now, but the motors are not working well so I have to manually keep adjusting them.

I did a little research and bought from Amazon. They had a set with a slightly damaged box, they knocked an additional $40 off the price.

All said, they cost me $117 for the pair with shipping. Prime shipping will get them here on Saturday too! Amazon has amazing return policy, so I'm not too concerned about that. Amazon has these in plain, turn signal, turn signal AND puddle. Just a few bucks between them based on features.

I have personally experienced "the shakes" from a pair of aftermarket mirrors on my truck that my insurance company bought and ithe shaking made them functionally worthless. I tried tightening up the connections of the mirror/motor, but nothing helped. I ended up going back to oem quality tow mirrors!!!

The nice thing about the 1A mirrror that the OP just bought is that they SEEM to be of a much higher quality then many other aftermarket ones. And if one has a problem with them, they are backed by decent customer service. Anyway, just my .02...be sure to post back your impressions on quality and function after you get them installed.

I tried a mirror from A1 Auto - thought my truck was in an earthquake it vibrated so much. It was promptly sent back. Gook Luck.....

I bought the 1A mirrors about a year and a half ago. At first they had too much vibration, contacted them and they sent out another set. Not too bad for customer service. These are much better, but I did find out when I flip them out while towing a wide trailer there is some vibration in the mirrors. I don't use them in the flip out mode much, but I will have to decide whether or not to keep these.

HA!!!!!!!. I hate to say it but so true. I hit a pot hole on the Interstate traveling thru there that broke a leaf spring on a tandem axle travel trailer that put me on the side of the road for repair.

Knee jerk response to that is quit driving in the ditches where the poles are, but, whole caravans in the medians, ditches and approaches for one reason or another is not out of the ordinary. :) Around here a FOD detector would be more useful than a radar detector because if you are driving over the rather high limits on some of these roads you deserve to get caught. The FOD one has to dodge is truly disconcerting at times, poles are not the worst. Truck parts, rocks, dead animals and a varied assortment of pieces and parts are kind of common. Probably why there so many conventions in the ditches, medians, and approaches. LOL!
