I need some advice (Hey Bob4x4) on wiring a flatbed that I'm working on for my own truck. Ive read stories about people causing expensive electrical failures on 4th gens but I don't know why exactly.
When I built my headache rack, I mounted LED running, brake, and turn lights on it and I tied into the trailer wiring near the rear end. So far, I haven't any issues with that. I probably could do the same with the harness for my flatbed but I'm not sure I want all that load on the trailer harness.
I'm also looking for info about the OEM connectors that plug into the taillights. If I tie the flatbed harness into there, it would be nice to make it a plug and play setup....if that's even possible.
