Do you have a tool box in the bed of your truck P-bar? Do you commonly utilize the capacity of your long bed truck now? Things to consider..........
If you use your truck as a truck you will regret going to a short bed. But hey they fit in the garage.![]()
I am custom cabinetmaker, truck is loaded with tools 8' bed. It could potentially turn into my work truck when the 04.5 gives up.
You won't get wear like that from a set of golf clubs [/QUOTE said:Or gettin groceries.
Ya I have more paint than you do![]()
I use mine longbed now for everyday work but wouldn't let a valet park it. Thinking staying with longbedMy '95 is a longbed reg cab. My wife and I towed fifth wheels with it for years. Then we had kids and needed more room. I ended up putting a sleeper cab in the front of the longbed effectively making it a short bed. I got a Reese Slider hitch and while it worked fine, it was still a pain in the butt to have to deal with. Eventually I changed the pinbox to a Reese Sidewinder Pinbox. At that point, the use of the slider was cut down by more than half. Between the slider and the Sidewinder I could jackknife without hitting if I needed to. When I bought my new truck in 2016, I went crew cab, longbed 4x4. I'm much happier towing with it but it can be a pain to find parking for due to height and length. Last night my wife and I went to dinner in downtown San Diego and we decided to take my daughter's Durango because the truck is too big and I refuse to Valet park my Challenger.
