Our 01, we took delivery in January of 2000. 130,000 miles and it runs as good as the day we drove it home.

Cool. I didn’t catch the hood.
Wayne, Yes they’re very subtle/low profile. Was thinking about getting ones like the Demon/Dart Sport had but they’re open at the front, could have made one of them functional, but figured they’d be “bug and/or whatever else catchers” so I went with the 67 GTX (one of my favorite MoPars) style.

Joe Mc: Can you tell me what brand of sidesteps that you have on your truck? I've got a new pair of DeeZee's on the truck and I am not satisfied with the fit. I went cheap and I paid for it.

Originally I had Westin S/S steps, they lasted until I got her painted (about 2+ years back), well they started to rust probably 2 years prior to painting. They were good quality but $$$. After paint I got a set of TFx 3” Step Bars, PN 1120223941 for $299. I’m pretty pleased with them. Before installation I decided to try to help ward off the inevitable rust worm. I got cans of Eastwood’s internal frame coating (has an 18” or so hose with nozzle on the end) and ran it in each end of the tubes before installing. Figured it can’t hurt? Time will tell.

Glad I started this, lots of nice trucks guys. Jgillot - LMAO - pesky little things like kids came along. Too funny, but I hear ya.

I have shot that internal frame coating everywhere, Doors, front frame, rocker panels etc. Yeah, I know I do not need it in Az. but I am not always here. After all the rust removal, panel fab and welding on the road runner I really will do or add anything to deter that nasty stuff.

Dave, "Road Runner"!!! Do tell more = year, engine, trans, etc., etc..... Post up a pic if you have one. This thread, IMHO, is open to all MoPar (or no car...). Another thing I did when I got it back from pain was to undercoat wheel wells (before reinstalling plastic liners), inside all doors (making certain to keep drains open) underside of bed and cab. Then I brushed on "Fluid Film" https://www.fluid-film.com everywhere = frame, suspension components, differentials, etc. Pretty good stuff. Navy and other military branches use it. Every little bit "usually" helps, especially in the "great" (depends...) North East...

Dave, I had to strap on the drool cup. 1970 one of my other favorite years for the "B-Body". Nice restoration and nicely equipped. Sharp looking car, really dig the color, vinyl roof treatment, stance, black walls with S/S Cragars.

I thought it was the “Air Grabber” (N-96 cold air pkg), Tor Red, and wow “Factory” and “still the original?” Vinyl top. Pretty, pretty, good...!!!

So I know what you went through during your resto. Very time consuming but my money was all in material since I did all the work. The Tor Red was $65.00 a gallon at the time, now $400.00 plus. I did learn a lot with the textured argent silver and Suede black for the dash amongst other things.

Yes materials aren't as inexpensive as they used to be. My paint was about the same $400/gl, we needed 3 gal of base and 4 gal clear.

Not the best picture but this was my very first new car, a 72 Plymouth Barracuda with the 340 and a 4 speed pistol grip shifter. The 72's came with a smog strangled low compression motor so with less than 5000 miles on it I installed a pumped up late 60's motor with the good heads and 10 to 1 compression. It was a lot faster than stock but I lost count how many times I came home hanging from the back of a tow truck.
If I remember right it was just about $3600.00 out the door.

Just realized this morning the ol" girl is 20 now, I've had her for almost 18 now (purchased on 05/01 w/75k, present 237k) and don't ever plan to get rid of her. God forbid if something should happen that would total her, but if it did I have the perfect spot for the engine, trans and rear = my 73 340 Duster. I'd make it an "Oil'er", you know straight axel, exhaust coming out the hood, tubbed to the max with big & wide slicks and skinny's up front. Probably run low 10's without touching the driveline. As cool as that sounds (to me anyway?) I hope I never have to do it.

Where did you get the rear cab window vents?... and can you open the window?

[QUOTE="bill baker, Where did you get the rear cab window vents?... and can you open the window?[/QUOTE] Bill, the window vents/shades are "RainGuards, Stick-On Sportgard" PN 48128 4 piece set they were $70 in 2015 and they allow the side back windows to fully pop open. They're the second set I've had since 01. Replaced with new when I had the truck painted a few years back.
