Smarty Jr with shift logic ?

For a TrueTrac in the front axle, what was the part number? I have the LSD in the rear, but was thinking of upgrading my front open diff to a truetrac.

Is it this one? https://www.justdifferentials.com/Dodge-9-25-AAM-Truetrac-p/tt914a643.htm

Yes it is, I have the same in my Ram, works great.
Not noticable impact in normal driving but there in off road situations.
Would buy it again.
Great addition.

Even better then a selectable as it works even while cornering .

This what my records show:

Front:

Eaton - Detroit Truetrac Limited Slip Differential – 914A643
AAM 9.25 Timken Master Bearing Installation Kit

Rear:

Eaton - Detroit Truetrac Limited Slip Differential – 915A568
AAM 11.5 Master Timken Differential Bearing Kit – DRK327MK

Like Ozy says you don't know it's there until it engages when you start to loose traction but you will feel it when it happens.

Yeah, not saying it can’t be done... it’s just not ideal and even tougher in a diesel pickup and worse if you tow.

I had one in a previous truck that was a DD. I wouldn't run a Detroit locker again unless it was primarily an off road vehicle. You can learn how to "drive around it" most of the time but it's a bit much for mostly pavement use. Truetrac is a much better choice for on road use and still effective off road, I've used them in multiple applications and have no complaints.

I had purchased the front Trutrac and a Dynatrac free spin kit online thinking I could do it myself but those grand plans didn't happen so I finally took everything to Dan's Driveline in Las Vegas.

Hi
You are still happy with the job that Dans Driveline did?
I'm asking because I'm going to switch my axle ratio to 4.10 and looking for a reputable shop in the Vegas area.

Yes we had them put 4.10's on one of the ranch trucks (1998.5 Dodge 4x4 automatic). They installed both front and rear Trutracs, 5" driveline, Carli axle truss, and Dynatrac free spin kit in my truck. They have been in Vegas a long time. They do everything form commercial, recreational, and race in Vegas.
