MOPAR filters ARE made by FleetGuard.
BANG! nail on head.

He actually went back and complained to higher ups. Got money back that they had charged him for diagnostic fee and even returned the mopar filters. They were still trying to convince him that he needed to run their filters and telling him aftermarket filters were the issue. Not ALL MOPAR filters are made by Fleetguard.

The MOPAR rear separator is NOT made by Fleetguard.

It’s made by Parker / RACOR.

Exactly.

Detroit Diesel switched from Davco to Parker filtration on the frame mounted fuel filter starting in 2016 as I recall. Exclusive for a few years under a Detroit part number, now available from others..

So the same thing has happened with the Ram filter.

More than likely the Fleetguard and other offerings are still manufactured by Parker but sold by the aftermarket. Eventually the other companies might tool up to make the filter in house but not for a while. That’s where the patents and other agreements give the OEM a few years to make an extra buck or two..
