I was in napa the other day and I saw they were stocking stanadyne now. Right next to it was an amsoil product called diesel all in one. Anyone had any experience with this fuel additive ?

All is one contains 3 of their additives, all in one :D

Diesel Concentrate: lubricity and cleaner
Cold Flow Improver: lower gel point of #2
Cetane Boost: increases cetane 2-4 points

It's one of the additives I use in the winter when I am wanting their cold flow improver. I could do without the cetane boost, but they don't offer diesel concentrate + cold flow improver anymore.... and most winter additives include cetane. Cetane boost has it's time and place, but not always.

So ounce for ounce, would you say it then has less lubricity than stanadyne ?

Which Stanadyne product?

It more directly compares with the Stanadyne Performance Formula.

The Amsoil takes a higher dosage, but also had a better performance increase on the test... but that was also just on diesel concentrate and not all-in-one.

The amsoil all-in-one seems to be a good product. Does amsoil make anything thats not top of the line? Have been running it in my 2nd gen. My only complaint on it is the length of the neck on the bottle needs to be longer to use it on the "capless" 4th gens otherwise it just runs on the ground. Found that out the hard way!

Yeah, the capless is a pain at time.

I have a couple different long neck funnels for additives or fuel adding.

There must be an overflow hole in the filler neck at the top? And the amsoil neck is just not quite long enough? Like I said found that out in the Chevron fuel aisle.

From what an injection shop that rebuilds Stanadyne pumps tells me, the current formula of Stanadyne is weak, at best.

They suggest the cheaper yet more efficient equivalent Alliant product, which apparently is made to the old Stanadyne spec.
