Again, if ya don't like the cold, why would you move to Snowflake, Arizona:D

Subzero cold was recorded as far south as the Grand Canyon Wednesday morning. Big Piney, Wyoming, plunged to minus 24 degrees before sunrise Wednesday.

Current Temperatures
Dozens of daily record lows have been set in the West so far this week. Even more impressively, some locations have set all-time October records lows, including:

-Bozeman, Montana: -14 degrees (Oct. 29 and 30)

-Casper, Wyoming: -8 degrees (Oct. 29 and 30)

-Grand Junction, Colorado: 12 degrees (Oct. 30)

-Livingston, Montana: -12 degrees (Oct. 29)

-Rawlins, Wyoming: -20 degrees (Oct. 30)

-Rock Springs, Wyoming: -6 degrees (Oct. 30)

-Salt Lake City: 14 degrees (Oct. 30)

This was the first time on record Rock Springs, Wyoming, dipped below zero in October.

One of the nation's coldest locations, Peter Sinks, Utah, a high-elevation basin about 20 miles northeast of Logan, dipped to an incredible minus 45 degrees early Wednesday. This appeared to be the coldest October temperature on record anywhere in the Lower 48 states, according to Utah-based meteorologist Timothy Wright.

Wow....

53° degrees here, high of 60° today. Rain showers until Friday, then turning sunny with highs just touching 50° which is more normal for this time of year.

I am concerned with the amount of rain we received over the last two weeks, that will allow the frost to go waaaay down when it turns cold..

Here in Ensenada Baja California- cold too.
Hope it warms up soon.
This Morning almost the same temperature as Mike is reporting from Maine.

Bunch of folks here do not know the difference between Weather and Climate! But hey it trickles down from the top for those that do not know much about the difference!

54 here in Mesa when I awoke. A lot better than you. Think I would hideout by the heater. :D

We are rebuilding and extending(from 16' to 24') the park's RC track drivers stand this week, so the cooler weather is a blessing.

Nick,
What do Bitsy and Sammie think of the cold temperatures in October??

Nick,
What do Bitsy and Sammie think of the cold temperatures in October??

Michael

They don't mind the cold so much but they really dislike wind, rain or snow. Sammie has a good coat of hair but Bitsy shed off this summer so hers is a little short yet. When it is cold they get the heat lamps in their house.

Bitsy was funny yesterday. It was cold and the north wind was really cold. When she came in the house for her snack she went straight to bed afterward. Usually she begs for treats and a tummy rub but fearing having to go back outside, she went in her room and shut the door. We keep her blanket on the floor in the spare bathroom for her or Jake. Usually she just closes it over but yesterday she slammed it shut:D

Every morning I let them out of their pen and they get to come in my house and watch me fix breakfast while they salivate, foam at the mouth and drop slobbers on the floor. It is tile so easy to clean:). Then they get a chunk of hay on the shop slab to munch on. I feed them on the slab to keep their feet trim, it sands them off really nice. Then they free range for an hour or two, depending on what we have to do. When we leave they are always penned up.
