2018 intercooler upgrade?

Looks like they have a complete system , front and rear . Very expensive , over 8,000.00 . That is just parts . Labor costs to install will be high as well . Thinking I'm going to stick with factory set up .

Thuren has a very good system for a quarter of that price. I’m using it not just for leveling / lifting but also towing my 33’ 5th wheel. Works perfectly and ride is night and day better.

With the OE air suspension?

I looked at it, but it’s not geared towards people who use their air suspension for towing/hauling...IMO. Just the fact that you’re making it so you can’t carry a factory spare is ridiculous.

Not to be argumentative (I’m not one of those guys) but: Yes. I have the factory air suspension and Thuren rear upgrades including track bar, shocks, link for the rear air settings and sway bar links.

I have my factory spare sitting exactly where it always was - in fact it’s bigger than factory. Not sure where that concern comes from.

My 5th wheel is just over 12,000 pounds loaded and the tongue weight including the Superglide hitch in the bed is just over 2,000. The air suspension performs exactly as factory (which is to say no better or worse) but the track bar and shocks are a significant upgrade. I’m running the King 2.5 - sort of their intermediate shock.

I’ve had two trucks in a row built like this and honestly it’s the best upgrade I’ve ever done to a truck. Both times I’ve said to myself “I should have done this the day I bought it”. Without the trailer, on speed bumps or intersection dips, it practically turns your 8,000+ pound Megacab into a desert racer.

I misread your sig at first (on my phone) The SRW stuck out more than the 2500 and I thought you had a 2014 3500 since I’m not sure I’ve seen someone state their 2500 is a SRW as that’s the only option. The 3500 didn’t get the air suspension until 15, IIRC, so I was trying to figure out how you had the auto-level suspension on a ‘14 3500 :D

The OP is talking about the 3500 air suspension, which is an entirely different suspension.

Glad to hear Thuren suspension works well on the 2500, they don’t appear to have anything for the rear of the 3500 auto-level trucks and there just isn’t a need to lift the front on them as they are level in ALT.

Lol. Good points all. I’m not sure why my sig says that. I’ll look at it.

Often times I’m reading thru posts and don’t log in until I’m going to respond. I think I didn’t notice the OPs sig because I couldn’t see it since I wasn’t logged in when I was originally reading.

It’s funny... The trucks are SO unbelievably capable these days that “even” the 2500 is capable of managing all but the largest of trailers (campers are a bit different of course). Mine tows 12,000 pounds at normal engine temps through Vegas on the 15 in summer and doesn’t even heat up, with the AC running full blast.

I’ll admit that I pulled over this summer because I noticed a lump in a tire due to vibration (luckily) and was grateful not to have lost a rear tire at speed with the trailer. THAT is why people drive duallies. Not a bad idea...
