The truck is a '14 model and they are doing the rebuild in house. Block is at the machine shop. Currently going back together on a complete rebuild of a 6.0.

One of my customers owns a local independent diesel repair shop and absolutely hates Ford’s. The funny part is that Ford is all he works on. He says they are bad for the soul but great for HIS bank account.

I have lost count of the reasons NOT to own a V8 Dsl for personal or commercial use. Yes the D-Max has a proven history and reliable ,When it does need repairs its considerably more than Cummins.
Ford Dsl for the last 17 Years are problematic, and yet Americans buy them by record numbers.

Having owned '86 F-350 and '87 F-250 Fordbinders I can assure you their problems started much more than 17 years ago. Pure junk.

It is beyond interesting that we have Cummins 6.7’s in a bunch of different applications- including another version of this same truck, and you just don’t see this happening.

It was cranked to death due to the plugged DPF.
