My biggest gripe about my 2019 is that the EB button is in the worst location possible... You have to take your eyes off the road to press the button... trying to do it blind.... you end up turning off the parking sensors. Lame FCA..... They could have put it on the wheel by the gear lock out buttons. My 06 had the T/H button on the end of the stick. Why didn't FCA keep T/H on the stick and put EB on the wheel???? The money these guys get paid working for FCA and making these decisions should be fired.... I bet they drive Honda's and Lexus's to work.

The sad thing is that there are to positions on steering wheel for the right thumb that the 1500 uses to select gear range, that the 2500/3500 could have used to EB and TH.

I would put EB on the inter button and TH on the outer button. Why doesn't some brain neck figure out how to do this? I wonder if the 2500/3500 clock spring has circuits for these unused switch positions?

It's funny when you're looking for something on the Internet and cant find it... I was looking to see where Chevy and Ford put thier TH buttons and couldn't find anything. I suppose I could download their owners manuals, but dont have that much interest.

Called my BIL wh has a 2019 F250 XL Crewcab 4x4 to see where his TH sq is...it son the gear selector along with the gear toggle selector. EB and Traction control located with the aux switches.

Ram used to put TH button in the tip of the gear selector. Not sure what precipitated the change.

Since I only use mine for towing, its notable big thing selecting it... part of startup process... connect trailer, set ITBC, select TH, check mirrors, trailer cam, engine coolant up to temp, go.

So Ford has it in the shifter...Anyone seen a Chevy to say where it is?

Cheers, Ron

My biggest gripe is why can’t the engine brake stay in the mode you last used it in? Why do I have to reset everything at each start. Default should be last used mode.

What's funny is on the Cab and Chassis Rams, EB does stay on at startup if you had it on when shutdown. I'm guessing lawyers had a hand when someone starts up with EB on, heads out on the snow and ice, has a wreck, and has a lawsuit. They allow it on C&C trucks as they have found C&C owners are smarter and better looking.;):D:cool:

Mine will stay on with the trailer connected sometimes, but not always. I haven’t found the logic with it yet. I *think* it might be related to the key fob leaving or staying in the vehicle.

"better milage loaded"

Locked is Locked! ZERO difference when towing TH on or off. Now if you are doing a lot of starting and stopping getting up to speed maybe some difference when towing.

I simply made a comment on what I do and I highly doubt my mileage would change one bit if I decided to leave TH off when towing. Truck is going to shift when needed with MY load TH or not.

Next time I tow I will take off on flat ground from a stop and write down shift points with and without TH applying equal throttle pressure, i'm betting little to no difference with MY load. Someone towing a light load that may make a difference.

Is your "over reving" a Technical Term when I run 1,750 instead in TH or 1,400 let's say with it off?

I like it in it's power band at ALL times. Bottom line for ME it has NOTHING to do with "SPORT" or "FUN" it's called drivability. I touch the pedal it simply accelerates instead of having to PUSH the pedal and then dropping a gear or slow acceleration.

Have you ever had your EB turn off when towing? I have, going down a grade and thinking what's wrong why am I applying service brakes.

Locked may be locked, but TH has different shift points and shift/lock/unlock strategy... that's what it's there for

It's great you like it, but the way you tell everyone to ALWAYS run TH/EB makes it sound like anyone who doesn't is doing it wrong... which the only thing wrong is you saying ALWAYS. Tell them your preference, not ALWAYS... they will actually want to thank you, instead of you telling them they will thank you.

Never either.

There is only one circuit for all the Buttons.
So yes, it only would need a clever Hacker to write it to the ECM/Body controller.
