47re oil cooler fitting size

Can anyone verify the fitting size going into transmission oil cooler/pre-cooler

if it's a 1/4" or 3/8" fitting??

Next question... anyone know what this is? It's in the transmission line going to the radiator. Someone said possibly a transmission fluid temperature sensor. Trying to see if I can discard it as I already have a sensor on the pan....

Just found out what it is. When BD transmission was installed they put a pre transmission sensor in the line. Anyone interested in it? I'll be removing it.

My transmission temp sensor is in the line from the transmission to the cooler in the radiator. This gives you the temp of the fluid coming out of the transmission which tells you the true transmission temp. The fluid in the pan has already been through the cooler.

Of course it’s up to you. Kinda the same as the pre and post turbo thermocouple. Tomato, tomotto...

Is the trans tubing line 1/2" JIC? I am thinking about making a bypass loop. We go from 20°F to 110°F, so it would be handy for part of the year.

It is, I am monkeying with it right now. Have a small leak but 99% sure I just found it.
