Friends,

All I can say is "WOW"! The 3.0L TD is quiet, strong on the bottom, and just great coupled with the 8spd auto is amazing. We got up to 80MPH on the interstate and virtually no road or driveline noise. Wife liked it too. They didn't have the color we want, but the configuration of this vehicle is very lux. Take a look...

We like Kobie (sp?) which is a tan color. The whole setup is very refined and STILL trail ready. I'm going to build one on line, print it, and see what kind of deal can be made... And since I have a paid for Wrangler, anything other than a great deal leaves me with what I have already.

Cheers, Ron

Ron, Are you going to be running the "new" Jeep off road then get the Rubicon better axles and gearing, if not get what the wife likes, that's the safe bet.

Is this the 3.0 Diesel engine as Ram calls 85% new engine, I really would look hard for Pen-star  I did have '14 Ram diesel and seize while going down the road.

The tan color is called "Gobi". I don't think it's available on a 2020 Wrangler.

Yep, I figured that out last night... and Jeep Wrangler has about 8 trim levels. Very aggravating selecting options...you pick an option and it changes the color. Pick steps and it delete diesel option. Of I decide to do this, I guess I need to go to the dealer to do it.

Homer I know we didn't get wifes truck with it due to reports about the diesel. Since its reported to be 85% changed, I might would get it.

Wife and I talking about it cuz we both like Jeep we have.

Thanks for the comments.

Cheers, Ron

Place verrrrrrrry little faith in the online Jeep build and price website, the online Dodge build and price website, and the online RAM build and price website.

Some guys over on challengertalk.com are constantly going nuts over the inaccuracies involved when building Challengers. Same can be said for the RAM site. Seems like the Challengers and Jeeps, with so many options of choice, really confuses the online build and price websites even more.

You should have heard the debacle over the Challenger 50th Anniversary edition versus the 50th Limited edition builds.....

Go with the Sahara, it comes with AWD, very nice. First Wrangler with this feature.
Rubi is only for hard core Offroader but nonsens for the average User.

The Diesel is fine in this light duty application, hundreds of thousands of these running around in Europe just fine. Reliable!

My nephew has a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. The darn thing with the factory front/rear lockers is impressive for a factory equipped vehicle.

The Jeep was passed down to him from my brother-in-law and has well over 100K on it with absolutely no issues. And like any 19 year old kid would do, he certainly tests the thing off road.

Friends,

Gonna buy my granddaughter a vehicle for her birthday in Oct. Another dealership has 8 diesel Jeeps, so got to do my homework to come up with an almost impossible deal... I'm in the driver's seat on this as this ia a want, not a need. Alredy got my comment to the dealer if they don't take the deal: " I guess my desire to buy your vehicle and your desire to sell it fall short. If you cant sweeten the deal with free extended warranty or free oil changes for 5 years, I guess we're done."

I've made some of my best deals this way. We'll see and I'll let you know if they bite my hook.

Cheers, Ron

Ron, check this out.

https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/bubbles-in-paint-at-door-hinges.32756/

Apparently there's an issue of galvanic corrosion because the hood and door skins are aluminum but the hinges are untreated steel.

Seems there's new vehicles sitting on dealer lots with the problem.

Just something to be wary of...

Mark,
Thanks a bunch for the info. It's late now, going to bed, and in the morning got to roll last coat on RV roof, but then I'll check more into it. Might ask the dealer if there has been a manufacturing process change to address this, since FCA has had a year to fix on the front end and not expensive repeat paint jobs. Engineers obviously screwed up not addressing insulating the different metals.

Thanks again and Cheers, Ron
