This weekend, I had an excellent opportunity to move this Tiny Home from Knoxville, TN to Oregonia, OH....at a nice little rate of $3.35/loaded mile.

Customer was curious as to what the weight was (as well as a I) so I threw an offer out there for $12 we could find out at the CAT Scales.

Trailer came in at about 14,100 lbs as best I could tell, but the pin weight was killer, at 2,280 lbs. Not sure what it would have been if it wasn’t a tri-axle....

All in all....everything went well, White Lightning ate well (6.84 mpg while loaded) and the customer was happy.

It did, however, remove about 500 lbs from the steer axle it seems!!!

Nice load! I am not sure what all the rave is about, they are really expensive per square ft. v/s an RV. Seems like a poor location for the door, I am scared of heights.

I'd say the primary difference is that thing should still be around in 20 years. Your typical RV....not so much. It just about makes you sick seeing how bad they cheap out on even basic construction principles

I hear ya......overheard a conversation one of the home owners was having with a truck driver when we were getting weighed. He was mentioning how that he would be glad to have the $50k mortgage paid off in 5 or 6 years. Upon looking at other homes online, some of them easily approach $99k dollars. I guess he got in “cheap” as he built his from scratch, and didn’t purchase.
