If you live in ca, and you want to buy a brand new gas powered car, better get one while you can. Brand new gas cars will be outlawed for sale in ca by 2035.
They LOVE to spout their "Zero Emissions" lie, and it is a LIE. They are Remote Emissions Vehicles.
I believe they have their place and I would not rule one out for short travels, but for the government to mandate to everyone...for every scenario...I know a guy that was a die-hard G-Wagon driver and owner for decades. Bought them, fixed them all the time, had a little collection, so yeah he was a Fanboy.
4 years ago he sold all and everything and bought it's first Tesla X.
And he was so happy with it that he bought a second one, an Y.
He says that he finally has a Car that is reliable, no trips to the Dealers and that it is much cheaper in cost ownership thanks to free charging at the TSC.
As a Daily Driver, why not, think about it.
There will never be enough windmills and solar panels, etc to offset that many vehicles charging in my lifetime. Period. It is a fantasy. Kevin Cameron did a most excellent article on this in TDR a while ago.Depends, if used with renewable energy sources then not.
If run with coal plant energy, not so much.
Double
I'll double that, too!I hate it so much when the government wants to tell me what is best for me!
I didnt see where they said anything about diesel. Maybe all the new cars will have to be diesel.![]()
