Lift pump I bought a used lift pump from a guy who put a Fass on his truck at 35,000 miles, I was thinking the same thing. For now I put it in a plastic bag and in my toolbox. The oil thing is a good idea.

I have a 1992 300D 2. 5 turbo diesel, with 212,000 miles. The most I have got is 34mpg, and the least was 28 mpg. I am looking for another one, my wife is driving the 1992, they are great cars.

In the bed of my truck. Tool box, shovel, screw bucket. :rolleyes:

I have a 2004 and love it. The truck has 98,000 trouble free miles, with original lift pump. Take care of it and it will take care of you.

Mine did the same thing, replaced my sway bar end links. No more clunk. Look in issue 58, page 156. That is what I put on my truck.

I am driving my wifes Mercedes 300D 2. 5 diesel, it gets 30 mpg.
