I had a toyota fleet manager tell me awhile back the dealership makes 20% of the revenue in car sales and 80% in the service department. I have been a shadetree mechanic for over 25 years changing this ccv filter is extremely simple the hardest part for me was unclipping the electrical...

    CCV filter @57,149 miles pics

Agreed, I’m not concerned at all, the past couple of weekends I have been doing the 60k maintenance and curiosity got the better of me so I inspected the ccv filter and was suprised comparing mine to photos of others I have seen so changed it. I figured some here would enjoy the photos.

    CCV filter @57,149 miles pics

Hey thanks I use it but try not to abuse it the truck came with a drop in bedliner which I removed soon after purchase. Its had firewood, mulch, cinder blocks and a barbeque grill lid that flew around and removed some paint once.....I’m thinking the bed paint is a good bit thicker than the hood...

Oil used is valvoline premium blue 15W-40 conventional and mopar or fleetguard filter. I never hit the 15,000 mile interval always 6 months first which is typically around 6-7k. I do blackstone oil analyst once per year usually towards the end of summer. I usually have a heck of a time finding...

    CCV filter @57,149 miles pics

Daily driver 60 miles per day about 80% interstate at 65-70 mph and about 15% of the miles are 300+ towing 12,000 lb According to the onboard hours screen I’m at 10% idle versus drive time. For 6 months out of the 4 year ownership I had a commuter car but got tired of dealing with that extra...

    Def-loc use at own risk

I have my photos I also have my emails you flat out insinuated I abused this def loc which I did not please tell me how a e clip could cause that type of damage to another piece of steel? We are dealing with a plastic def fill neck here, maybe in the interest of science I should obtain a plastic...

    Def-loc use at own risk

Wow, Talk about zero credibility now I abused my def-loc by opening it twice in 7 months to refill my tank what a joke. This same organisation would not even admit to manufacturing this product that failed. Obviously I cannot prove it as the def-loc in no longer in my possesion but the photo...

    Def-loc use at own risk

I dont post on forums much so you would be correct it would have been quicker to goto the hardware store lol. This happened over a month ago and I waited to see how it all turned out so far not well..... The def-loc is no longer in my possession the manufacture wanted it back to examine it...

    Def-loc use at own risk

Posting this as a fyi to fellow ram owners, I purchased a locking def cap and locking fuel cap last year as a feel good preventive type thing for around $100. Well a month ago while removing the def lock cap I heard a popping sound followed by the sound of something sliding into my virtually...
