Someone please try sw3 2,1,2... let me know how it works. . no other boxes, just Smarty. I tried that yesterday and the truck would not shift until 2200rpm, no matter where the throttle was at??? Just wondering if it is my truck. Switched back to sw4 3,1,3 and it was normal again??
Buddy
Nop, your correct sir, but can we just make an adjustment change only to example:sw7 or do you have to make an adjustment then reload the entire sw7 ???????????????
No Telliot, I have not bumped the smarty timing with the comp on yet... but may be worth a shot for just a little test run and see. I also said from the beginning that I thought you could switch the adjust features without loading a whole new SW program, but who know's, mabe we are all just...
Where's Bob?? LOL ... . set us all straight! ... . I have been tuning the Revo for a few days and I think the most benefit is being able to use C. Control again, and smooth out the torque to come in a little slower. With Smarty at sw7 + 6-t,1-tim,5-dur the DragComp on 5x5 I can hit 50-55psi in...
Try to disconnect the wastegate hose and just put a plug in. Eliminate the wastegate all together... then try to see if you are getting more boost. Also a pair of vice grips on the hose will do for a test. Its possible to have a sticky linkage, it may hang, check the rod also!
I do not think you have to reload sw9, all you do is plug in the smarty and go to adjust options. From their you can quickly make option changes and it writes in about 3 sec. then your done. The only time you need to reload a software is when you change from sw9 to sw7 etc. But you can change...
I'm running an Edge DragComp which does have timing added. So I have to run the Smarty at stock timing, if I have the comp on. I also tried sw9 with timing, torque and duration all up and it was smooth but power was really down. Some how sw8 is the money setting for me. I will play with sw8 for...
Ran sw8
torque max
timing stock
duration 3
DragComp 3x3
Almost no smoke, even luggin it... amazing. She rolls through the gears nice, and hits 3000 rpm fast! The turbo spools quick and right up to 45psi egts are good.
Still playing, keep everyone posted.
Well Bob I understand how to use the Smarty, but I guess I was looking for more of a technical explanation on what each new item does. Examples:
Injection duration: is the amount of time the injector stays open on any given cycle???
Torque: Is this setting how soon the torque comes on in...
