    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) VP44 Issues

    I think my VP44 is on the way down. The truck will miss sometimes and will shut off sometimes with no warning. Is the Blue Chip pump really worth the extra cash of is there another rebuilder with a long lasting pump with their kind of reputation? Thanks for any assistance.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) engine shuts off

    My engine shuts off when at low rpm or when idleing at a light. I am getting the P0236 code but no others. I have 14psi of fuel pressure, a clean filter and a VP44 with 40-50K miles on it. Cleaning the MAP sensor see to reduce the shut offs but have not stopped completely. The diesel shop here...
