I remember you posting about this remedy before, and I think I still have pics of your setup. This time I will try this. Before I had a diagonal brace welded from the back of the reinforcing plate and bolted to the frame cross member. This eventually ripped out at the plate. My guess is...
Thats basically what I thought. So how do I get it flat? I was under the impression that the beads of the welds should be left alone. I don't think I should grind the welds or frame down to fit, or can I?
After having my frame welded up, 8 months down the road I found that a bolt had popped off at the nut, and one of the ears from the steering box had cracked clean through. After putting another box on this has happened again, yesterday.
My guess is that there is some problem with the seating...
The truck died on the way home from a long trip. I immediately figured it was the fuel shut off solenoid as I dealt with this a couple months ago. I joggled the wires and rapped on the solenoid a bit with a wrench. I let it sit for a bit and it started right up again. It kinda stuttered for...
Well after changing the filter, I doubt there was oil in the fuel. Pre-mature diagnosis on my part. After some research this morning I am thinking it might be the fuel injector solenoid, as the reason it is not starting? Hopefully not something bigger.

Changed the fuel filter, and there was a lot of gunk in there. More so than after I ran the bio. Still wont turn over. Probably something basic I just dont know about. Getting her towed tomorrow morning.

I have come to the conclusion that welding it up myself will not be an option. Not enough experience and with such a high stress area I dont want to take a chance. Great tips, they will all be printed out and mulled over. Will post pics when we are done.
