If you had noticed the comments and had read the entire information, you would have observed that the older filter will and do work... they just do not offer the same level of protection and are NOT what is listed as the "proper" filter for the 2013 RAMs. So in my opinion that is not the "right"...

In case you are curious, the reason I was checking the invoice that carefully is because the dealer had charged $65 for the filter. Yup that is not a typo... $65 !! They should be around $45.95. (Not service price... we are talking part price.)

Just for info I had a RAM dealer install the wrong fuel filter on my truck. Fortunately I caught it the next day as I was going over the invoice. Not knowing how commonly this is done, I thought I would warn everyone to double check your dealer or tech and make sure they are not being stupid...
