Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Some People ?

Hey Big, That vid was shot by the same people that don't want you or I hunting. There could be a slightly slanted lens if you know what I mean. We had an incident here in Ohio where a animal rights activist went undercover at a local dairy farm and shot video of himself abusing animals. Some...

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Some People ?

Big, Good article, it's nice to see well written opinions on the benefits of wild game. I couldn't agree more. My only problem is how he portrays modern agriculture. You can be pro-wild game and not bash other industries. Shoot, I have no problems with vegetarians (hint, they LOVE soybeans) as...

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting leather sling care

Hey guys, this is pretty cool. I've been looking into Mauser rifles for awhile now and found a Swedish M38 6. 5x55 at the local shop. Well, some money exchanged hands and I am now the proud owner. The rifling is sharp and the action says Carl Gustaf Stads! I haven't shot it yet, but planning on...

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting adventures in reloading

Hey guys, Just did a bunch of reloading this past weekend for the . 25-06 and of course I had to shoot a few rounds. I'm not impressed by my groups, to say the least. I want to try and figure out if it is me or the loads that is the cause of my problem. My 3 and 5 shot groups are not erratic...

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting adventures in reloading

I don't want to hi-jack this thread, but after following it for a good while, this seems like the best place to post this. My reloading book says that I need to use a nylon brush to clean the inside of the casing before I reload it. Should I use any solvents (thinking Hoppe's) with the brush, or...

    Parts source for front end

Jeff, I am also looking into the 2008 upgrade for my '03. From what I've read in this forum, it really beefs up the steering for the older models. Source Automotive has the kit with grease zerks installed for not much more than you can buy the kit from Mopar4less or other online parts dealers...

    NV5600 transmission / ECM

Sounds like you cover a lot of territory, how heavy do you pull? I know that on here, they always warn about pulling steep grades in 6th due to lack of lubrication of something in the trans. I doubt that there is a connection between the ECM and the manual transmission, but I don't really...

    CARHARTT goes south

Yeah, I've been pretty bummed about Carhartt going overseas. I wear their pants, bibs and winter jackets as I'm out in the field quite a bit and they are hands down the most durable and warm clothing available. I remember when I first started to notice the tags; first they said "Made in the...

    BridgestoneTires

I really like my Bridgestone Duravis tires. I rotate them every other oil change, but they wear like a brick. I have roughly 45K on them right now and I am pretty sure I can make it through till spring without having to replace them. I put roughly 14-15K miles on a year (mostly empty highway...

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting rifled slug barrel

CBari, What weight are you running in those 2 3/4" slugs? Thanks, Andrew

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting rifled slug barrel

B G, Very cool, but I have my eye on the Rem cantilever 20" barrel. I anticipate surgical accuracy once I top it with the Tru-Glo red dot that I have on the I/C barrel right now. Andrew

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting rifled slug barrel

I'm thinking about upgrading my 870 IC slug barrel to a fully rifled cantilever barrel this fall before deer season. I've had really good luck with the Brenneke Classic Magnum 1 1/8 oz slugs in the IC choke barrel, but can I shoot them out of the rifled barrel? If not, what saboted slugs seem...

    Window lock safety switch

did you guys try using compressed air to blow out the switch? I had this problem too and found that by cleaning the switch, the problem went away. The bypass does sound like a good idea though. Andrew
