Of course I understand what it LOOKS like. But all anyone has to do is ASK. And yes, I do require an apology--my "crime" was logging into my account for the first time in a long while in order to check out the politics forum at the suggestion of a friend. Do you understand what this looks...

It's actually AKGriz, and what Don has posted here is correct. We are co-workers, and I for one do not appreciate your jumping to incorrect conclusions. You can whine all you want about the same IP address (we're behind the same firewall at work, so yes, we have the same IP address!), but do...

'99 Towing Mirrors with LED--anybody wire them in?

Here's an answer. Found a set of mirrors manufactured by Trail Ridge that has the LED, and in the box is all required wiring AND "destructions" to properly wire it. Can wire either into the turn signals or running lights.

'99 Towing Mirrors with LED--anybody wire them in?

Greetings, I have a 99 3500 SLT with power/heated mirrors. I put on a set of towing mirrors from Genos, but they turned out to be non-heated which is really necessary where I live. I plan to change them out (DF already has dibs on them, sorry!) and ran across these on Amazon...

    1999 3500 auto with TC lock/unlock problem

Yes, I highly recommend this solution. 18 months post-fix, 25,000 more miles including a run from Fairbanks to Tennessee and back, and not one time has the problem resurfaced.

Batteries are 10 month old Interstates. It does have the temp sensor. Load test was OK except now I've run the batteries down. Currently sitting at alternator shop hooked to a charger. I'll update once we're able to test.

Archived 2 Gen (99) Low Voltage P1682 Broke Down and my feelings are hurt....

Greetings, I'm broke down in Durant, OK, about 4,000 miles from home pulling a 40' gooseneck trailer. About 50 miles north of here, hit a patch of bumpy road and "Blackie" (my 99 Dodge 3500 4WD dually 5.9 spit a Check Gauge Light, alternator was about 11V. I pulled over, messed with the...

    1999 3500 auto with TC lock/unlock problem

One pix shows the driver's side splice (finger points at the splice), one the passenger battery, and one with the ground cable on top of the radiator with the alternator safely in the background.

    1999 3500 auto with TC lock/unlock problem

No, we actually lengthened the ground wire that runs across the alternator to the passenger battery--the splice is at the driver's side of the engine. See http://www.kentsoil.com/dodgebug1.htm Fix number 1, the difference is instead of pulling the ground wire away from the passenger battery and...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Electrical connector on top of fuel module?

This is an old thread, but just ran into the same problem with my 99. I ended up totally removing the red tab and then pulled the connector apart. The red tab is apparently a locking tab.

Sweet! Where did you find the reg? That's a pretty neat idea.
