Great Mileage
Jeepdude,
I picked up my 05 2500 SLT LWB 6spd on Oct 9. I also experienced the 20+ mpg initially and then settled at 18 on the hwy. I currently have 2200 miles on it and could not be happier. I think the build date on my truck is 8/10. I am also eligible for the TSB, but am...
cold vs hot
There are two types of applications.
Herculiner is a cold spray or roll on application. It is soft and the texture will be more rounded. The cold spray liners have a tendency to fade more quickly and are of a lower quality. Average cost is 250-300.
Linex, Rhino, Xtreme are a...
I picked up my 2500 ram 4X4 on Friday. Drove throught Philly in traffic for 3hrs stop and go the whole way. This was followed by 3hr trip to Cabelas in Hamburg and another 3hr trip to a friends house in State college. I also stopped along the way and drove through a few small towns to vary the...

Anyone have any inside info on upcoming rebates?
My truck will be in next week and am wondering if I should wait until next week to pick it up--Although it will probably kill me to do so.

Midlife,
That is why I wanted to paint the box. I thought it would look like an extension of the cab. Especially with a Long bed. That is also the reason for wanting a 30" box----make the bed look a little shorter but still have all the advantages of a long bed. Thanks for your input.

line-x
Good idea on the line-x, but I am not convinced that they haven't fixed the color fading problem yet. I have a friend who sprays beds with a competitor to line-x. He isn't a big fan of the color match either. He won't come out and say it, but from our conversations, I think he expects...
Since it doesn't seem that anyone has any pics of a truck with a body color toolbox. Do you guys think it would look good? I am getting a 26-30" inch box regardless of whether it ends up getting paint or just diamond plate.
Pete
Anyone have any pics of trucks with toolboxes painted body color? I was thinking of doing this on an '05 mineral gray 2500 LWB and wanted to see some pics or atleast hear opinions.
thanks
Pete
