Well gents after much back and forth I pulled the trigger on the Michelins in stock size. I ended up not wanting to skew the speed and make the truck work just a little bit harder given the slightly bigger size. Hopefully these Michelins perform as well as the Firestones did for me; they are...
So I think I am ready to pull the trigger on a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S in either 285 or 295/60R20. Does the fact that my rig's pin weight puts me at my RAWR warrant bumping up to 295s?
Any reason to believe the larger size would generate more heat? I've looks at both Michelin and Goodyear in a 285, I'll have to see if the offer a 29 .
Hi all,
I own a 2015 3500 Mega Cab Laramie and just passed 42k miles on my OEM Firestones. I have been very proactive in rotation/inflation management and as such have been good thus far but they are quickly approaching the end of their service life. Most of the truck's miles are spent towing...
You can change the axel ratio all you want, but remember dodge still has a published RAWR of 7k, and the tires are rated at just about that. I'm not sure if the DRW option changes anything else besides the axel though.

I had the same issue under warranty and it turned out the actual switches were bad and were working intermittently. They replaced them and I haven't had an issue in 6 months

To be honest I've never measured how far out I am...best i can say is that it is noticeably nose high once you are far enough away from to see the entire thing.

I would be very careful raising a fifth wheel up like that. The big concern is changing your center of gravity. Additionally, whatever leveling system you may or may not have will have to be modified to account for the increased height. Then you have the height itself. My 355w is 13'4" tall when...
Yes they do sit high. I tow a jayco 355w toy hauler with my 2015 3500 SRW and despite the sag from the weight of the pin it is still not level. I do not have bags yet either. You can make adjustments to the pin on most lippert frames and on some hitches (my b&w companion can be adjusted up or...
As far as I know the torque/hp rating is just based on the transmission. Your will have the max with the aisin. The only delta between the DRW and SRW is the axel ratio. Only 3.42 available with SRW.

That is something to consider, but also why I went with the customtronix setup. There is no hardware modification, just adding the online harness in the back to add the video inputs. You can remove it and flash the radio back to stock (or flash it back to stock without removing it) and you'll be...
Hi all, I have a 2015 3500 MegaCab and use it to tow a 2017 Jayco 355w. It is my first fifth wheel, and after several trips I quickly realized that I needed better visibility on the rear of the trailer. Luckily mine came wired (power only) for a rear camera so I started to figure out the best...
