    Off Roading Hi-Lift Jack

I know they make a sand base, but I went the cheap route and just bolted an old brake rotor to the base of mine. Doesn't tip unless I want it to, great tool.

Gearshift lever (G56) broke, anyone else?

What's weird is it's the lever itself that broke, not the shifter. Wcjp, I read your thread, and believed mine had broken as well, so I ordered one. Well, first I called the dealership, there are two shifters in the USA, one in MT, the other in TX, and neither of the dealerships would come off...

Gearshift lever (G56) broke, anyone else?

The kid has moved the truck once, I was up in a tree doing my first tree removal for the city, of course the bigwigs of the parks dept. were there to watch. The city tree guys were there as well, but the city has no qualified climbers, so they call me. To do this job safely, the power line had...

Gearshift lever (G56) broke, anyone else?

As stated, the shift lever on my G56 broke inside the rubber isolator, left me stranded at a plow job. Luckily, the truck was in neutral, as I was putting it into reverse, it snapped. I had to stand outside (my truck was behind the building) and wait for another companies truck to finish his job...

    New oil turns black FAST

As many others have said, normal, mine is black before I even start the truck after an oil change. Heck, I even gave it 45 minutes to drain after the second change, hoping the oil would be a bit less "used" looking, no joy.

    Dumb Me

I guess my experience falls into this category a bit. A few years ago I worked at a transport company that delivered Teton fifthwheels from the factory, and I was to hook up a brand new unit in our yard to a single screw Freightliner for delivery. I dumped the bags, started to back up, and heard...

    Snow Plow

Here's a couple of mine, was just busting drifts for a church client, not so much to move though. I know this thread is a bit older, but I didn't want to start a new one.

    Power outlet on pass. side

Solved! AMattson and ThunderRoad nailed it. Funny thing is, there was no fuse in #38 at all. I guess I should have worn my glasses the first time. This aging thing is getting old. Thank you to all that replied, and to TDR for attracting people way smarter than myself. Augie

    tipm, 4th one?

My '06 was acting up over the summer, no running lights on trailer, all fuses checked ok. I went to the dealer to get the tipm reset, was told 2 week wait due to backlog of trucks just for the reset. Set the date, went back to work, plugged in trailer, thought I saw a spark, took a look around...

    Power outlet on pass. side

ThunderRoad, thanks, I'll check on that as soon as I get home. Thanks, I never noticed the 3 holes before. I'll be home in an hour and report back. Augie

    Power outlet on pass. side

Thanks, TLane I'll look that up now. Yeah Road Dog, I did, but it never hurts to check the easy stuff first. Zero power to the plug. Thanks to both of you!

    Power outlet on pass. side

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, all three in that row (two 15's and a 25) are good. I bought the truck used, who knows if the previous owner switched some out. Last week I went out and no power. I have owned the truck for three years, no problems until this. I guess it could be...

    Power outlet on pass. side

I have done a forum search, and can't find the answer. What fuse and where is the wiring for the "always on" right side outlet on an '06? I have pulled the dash panel and tested it with a circuit tester, so I know the outlet itself is ok, there is no power to the outlet. Thanks to all, Augie

Codes, check engine and mods on new (to me) 07 6.7L. Need education/help.

Good to hear. Did you ever find out what that yellow wire was? Just curios.

    New Truck

Nice truck! I would drive it with pride. Last of the 5. 9s, aftermarket grill guard and rear bumper, good find. Congrats, Augie
