OK so the autozone part TRE is the straight shaft version for the original 06. The thread pitch is different and will not correctly fit the coupler. If you call Dodge they are aware of the H46 recall in which the steering was up graded to the 08 system but will only sell it to you as a complete...
I am curious how you got the new "straight" tre to mate up with the coupler of the drag link. I have an 06 with the H46 recall steering upgrade and am dealing with the same issues. My tre was shot at the pitman arm. I have a fabtec 4. 5" lift with a drop PA. The part that you referenced from...
Oo. Ok so the truck is turning 175,500 miles and wandering all over the road. Its an 06 with the 08 steering upgrade. The inner tire rod end is shot and the steering box is extremely wet. The sector shaft has some play and its apparent it will have to be replaced. I am looking at the Red Head...
Trophy Truck,
I highly recomend checking those bolts every now and again. I just had to replace my flexplate and converter because 3 of the 6 bolts backed out and beat every thing to death.
Did some tinkerin today with some friends advise. Flexplate bolts have backed out. Several were extreemly loose and one had actually fallen out and was sittin on top of the dust cover. Look like Ill be pullin the transmission soon

I love this site. I got the dredded broken off bleeder screw only before I read all about it . And of course as soon as it happened I ran to TDR. Soak it with PB, drill it, bang the hell out of the caliper all around it, and then use a square style screw extractor from NAPA and out it comes...
I have an 06 3500 Mega Cab SRW and have pulled the rear axel and hub to replace a hub seal. Can any one help me out with the tourque specs for the spanner nut to reseat the bearings and the axel bolts?
Thanks to TDR for the recent help with #@$%! Fan Clutch. (2006 3500 Mega Cab) Anyway, condenser is leeking also. There is a visible place where I can see the "green stuff" bubblin out slowly. I called the local shop I use to see if I can buy part and replace (save money) and then have them...
OK Guys. Thanks for all the help. Autozones two sets didn't fit. Finally bought the one at NAPA. LineDog I looked at the one you pictured and could't figure out what the claw lookin tool was for. My plea for help came after using the tools. Anyway heres the story. Apparently the guy I bought the...
:{OK. I have read all the fan clutch post for like the last 100 yrs it seems. Yes my fan ate the wire. How in the heck do you hold the pulley the clutch mounts to so I can spin this B&*^% off. I just bought this 06 back in Dec and apparently the owner was a LIAR about his maintenance history...
