No OBD II signal for RGNfilter or the RGNfilter trg

Good idea, thanks. Edge told me the connector on the Insight end is different on the CTS/CS units, but need to verify, and may be possible to swap-em out.

No OBD II signal for RGNfilter or the RGNfilter trg

Edge supplied a custom one for the pillar install back in 2009, and no they don’t sell a replacement cable for my model Edge Insight (the original design), haven’t done a continuity check yet on the cable wires/contacts, but that’s next. Had to drive about 200miles today pulling a stock trailer...

No OBD II signal for RGNfilter or the RGNfilter trg

Called Edge this morning, 10min wait for customer service. Problem possibly the unit itself or its custom OBD II cable that reaches up to the pillar mount, no repair service available on the unit, or even a replacement custom OBD II cable. They did offer a 40% discount on a new Insight CS and a...

    Regen temp question

Okay, thanks, don't typically let mine idle very long, so don't have experience with that on my rig.

No OBD II signal for RGNfilter or the RGNfilter trg

soo....., hooked up a snapon diagnostic tool, and yes it it reads the two signals just fine, looks like a call to Edge is in order.

No OBD II signal for RGNfilter or the RGNfilter trg

No OBD II signal for RGNfilter or the RGNfilter trg numbers on my Edge Insight, instead of a number, getting “N/A” for both. The trigger number of 5.9 (for NOx) is what normally is indicated, but as of yesterday just says “N/A”. Will unplug the Edge Insight, and plug in a diagnostic tool to...

    Regen temp question

idling with exhaust brake on or off? would think if it on, engine is working harder and so may create soot?

NOX/SOx rgnfltr is at 7.6gm, De-SOx trigger point is 5.9gm

On further review of the forum, from Mullenax’s regeneration article and others, looks like the SOx regen takes place in the Catalytic chamber (and does need a high 1125F temp, ie-active regen mode to achieve it) and not a concern for plugging up the DPF. I’m going to quit worrying about it.

NOX/SOx rgnfltr is at 7.6gm, De-SOx trigger point is 5.9gm

Have an EDGE – INSIGHT digital gauge indicating 7.6gm with a regen trigger point of 5.9gm. Yet there are no CEL’s or DTC’s. This seems weird, Is this a problem for plugging up the DPF? Does NOx/Sox regeneration take place in the DPF or elsewhere, like in the smaller Catalytic exhaust chamber...

    Mag Hytec

Ditto what Jim W said, just lowered mine and repositioned it rearward, tho didn't think to go left also, good idea! BTW have been running mine this way for over a year, tire stays put.

    New Recall/TSB Flash

Just saw this in the news today, another recall... . "Chrysler Group said it was conducting three recalls. The first covers about 22,000 Dodge Ram trucks from the 2008-2011 model years with steering problems. The second involves 65,000 2009 model year Dodge Journey SUVs to fix side air bags that...

    2006 Steering box

RPalermo - my service manual (2009-3500) says ... . for the 2500 & 3500... "install the three mounting bolts, Tighten the mounting bolts to 196 N·m (145 ft. lbs. )". Would expect they are the same for your 2006. Hope this helps. Bruce.

6.7's need lift pump pressure gauges?

Thanks for sharing, interesting, am thinking my first step will be to get the truck's current pre and post filter (stock 7micron) pressures measured with gauges, then measure again with the new Mopar 5 micron, and then proceed with the Fleetguard kit, so there will be a baseline to compare to...

6.7's need lift pump pressure gauges?

Thanks. What did you install for your four fuel filters? I'm planning on installing this TRC-10 Fleetguard kit w/2micron filtration and separate water filter: Diesel fuel filtration systems Did you see significant drop in fuel pressure, post filtration, and have to upgrade your fuel pump...

6.7's need lift pump pressure gauges?

Anyone know if my ’09 6. 7L has a lift pump fuel pressure sensor (after the fuel/water separator, not pre-filter) that can give a readout with an OBD tool? This would be handy, for monitoring the condition of the fuel filter, and for preventing damage to the high pressure injection pump. Or...
