Finger Touch oil drain valve thoughts?

I also use a Fumoto on my truck. My first oil change was a mess, the second with the vale added was much easier. I use a rubber o-ring that slides over the valve opening and into the lever slot as insurance to keep the lever locked in place. It keeps the lever locked into the closed state.

    Geno's Quick Grill Release Kit

Finally got around to completely installing my kit. I had the Geno's condenser guard and needed to clean off the window screening I installed behind it, it was full of bugs and hay chaff from following a semi which was hauling big hay bales down the road. I agree with the above statements...

    Impressive first tow..

No, my truck is non HO. . I cant imagine what that extra 150 lbs of torque will do. . I got too good a deal to pass up on this one. I have the 3. 73 gears in mine. The trailer is a 27ft Salem travel trailer, I don't remember the weight off the top of my head (not really that much) but my 07 Ram...

    Impressive first tow..

We took our trailer out for the first time since purchasing our cummins late last year. Since this is my first diesel, right off the bat I was impressed with the pulling power of the cummins engine. I had to check the mirrors to make sure the trailer was still behind me. It sure is nice to have...

    bird problem

Make sure it isn't a black bird before pulling out your nine millimeter and shoot it . . You wouldn't want to be accused of bird discrimination or bird profiling by Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or the left wing media. Without realizing it you could become the Zimmerman of the black bird world...

First Oil Change, What a Gusher!

Ha! Me too, since I installed the valve I too am looking forward to the next oil change. I anticipate not having much clean up afterwards this time. I think the smaller opening of the valve will also help slow down the massive flow when using the drain plug.

Safety Recall L16 Left Tie Rod

They measure the angle of both right and left tie rods. If the difference between them is more then 5degs they change the left side tie rod. If the angle is more then 5degs I believe when turning to the right it puts a lot of torque/ stress on the left side tie rod, possible causing it to...

First Oil Change, What a Gusher!

I have always inserted it all the way down into the tube, as far as it will go. I have never seen anything that says to not fully insert it. Older style dipsticks (all metal) never had that o-ring seal that "clicks" into place when fully inserted.

First Oil Change, What a Gusher!

By the way, is there anybody else who hates these cable type dipsticks besides me? I found out I get a different level reading by flipping the handle around 180 degs. I miss those all metal dipstick, they were very easy to read.

First Oil Change, What a Gusher!

Today I did the first oil change on my 2011 2500. While it was fairly easy to do I was not expecting the massive rush of oil that came out once the drain plug was removed. I had the oil fill cap in the engine bay removed and sitting cockeyed in the hole. When the plug came out oil went all over...

    Gas or Charcoal?

Traeger was one of the first wood pellet grills. In fact the original maker of the Traeger grill is the one who came up with the auger idea which is also used in home heating pellet stoves. Since the Traeger grill there has been an onslaught of other wood pellet grill makers. My son has a grill...

    Gas or Charcoal?

By the way, these wood pellet grills are controlled with a digital controller. Turn it on the hot rod heats up while the auger turns and poof it ignites. Set to the desired temp and walk away. Just like using an oven... Can't get much easier then that. Did I mention the flavor you get from using...
