If you havent already found your issue. Check and double check the steering box. I have had 3 brand new big bore steering boxes from PSC and they all had excessive play in them. 2 had it on arrival and 1 developed it within 20 miles. There is lots of slop when turning the input shaft before...
Thanks for the replies guys. Its a 3rd Gen 2003.5 2500. I swapped out the cruise servo for an old one from the junk yard and its all working again.
However the concern remains that the wiring diagrams are incorrect as far as i can tell. I have emailed Chrysler, be interesting to see their reply.
Hey Superdawg great info thanks. Ive spoken(emailed) PSC and the 1400 series will still work fine. I will need to hook up the auto trans cooler to it and modify the bracket for the CP3. Il be doing it over the next month or 2. Il be sure to post all the info and pics once its done!
Hey guys,
Another issue with the truck is the cruise control. Ive tested all the wiring according to thr wiring manual and brake switch however the wiring from the output speed sensor is not correct according to the wiring manual.
The 2 wires from the output speed sensor on the rear diff are...

Thats good info, i dont tow very often at the moment but the plan is to get a camper or tow a caravan for trips in europe so shouldnt be an issue, plus it gives me an excuse to move up to a larger tire!:-laf
Hi again guys,
Rockauto only have a 2WD G56 available and still wont allow me to purchase unless the VIn matches, can anyone provide me with a G56 2WD VIN number?
GAmes,
Also just for your information, the 4WD G56 is the same as the 2WD G56, the rear flange is removed with one bolt and just need to replace the rear seal with the one for the 4WD version so the transfer case input shaft can slide in and get sealed properly, pretty easy to do took me max 10...
Hey GAmes,
Yes i am aware of the different gear ratios, im not too bothered about it reving so high for the moment, my main concern was geting rid of the junk auto box. I am running 3.73's, for anyone else interested i have attached the 2 different calculated speeds for the AD and AE versions...
Hi Patriot, Thanks for the quick reply but unfortunately they only give me the part numbers for the NV5600. Ordering through Rockauto requires a VIN number that matches the part. i.e. for the G56 trans i need for the swap, i would have to have the VIN from a 2005.5 or newer truck that has the...
