the sensor I installed was the oil pressure gauge not the fuel like I said, my mistake. I had to take the intake grid heater housing off to get to it and I thought I put it back on the same way I took it off.

can anyone tell me why my oil pressure guage just stopped working and check guage light came on? I just changed oil the day before and truck is running good . It's a 2000 2500 with 180,000 on it. Im getting ready to take a long trip out west and would like to fix this before I leave.
it might be a fuel return line leaking, check for any fuel line leakage. it happened on my 2000 2500 and I had to replace three O rings on the return line .
I was driving down the road an d the truck just shut off. took it to a shop and they said it was the injection pump. I have a fast lift pump installed about 5 years ago could this have been the problem or does the pump ware out on its on. its has 170000 miles on it.

does anyone know how to lock up the torque converter on a 2000 2500 ? while pulling my trailer down hill and let off the throttle it's like putting it in netrual. there must be a way to do this manualy. :confused:
