I have my 2002 2500 Quad Cab short bed truck painted and I want to install the "Dodge / 4 x 4" decals on the back. I didn't measure the location before I dropped it off and the shop didn't either. I'm looking for the measurement from the center of the tailgate "Crease" that is about 6" from...
The Thing that got me using the factory Switch is that it is switching on the NEGITIVE / GROUND not the positive. The positive wire is hot 100% of the time and the factory switch connects the ground. I was able to correct this by having the factory switch activate the my relay and that...
Thanks for the help and suggestions, purchase the liners from the walnut Creek dealer, and made some steel plates with bolts going through them. Worked great.
Thanks for the replies, I took Crabmans advise and went to the local Chrysler dealer, it was $100 less then having them shipped from Florida. $293 out the door with tax. But that was better than the $80 each w/ $234 shipping. The parts guy told me I need 10 plastic rivets ($12 each, but...
Thanks, LMC was $60 more for the 2 shields and only $70 shipping plus a $20 / item "over size part charge ($40) so in total only $60 less than "factory Chrysler parts". But it is a $60 savings.
I've been searching the web for rear wheelhousing shields (fender liners). The only ones I have found are at the "factory Chrysler parts" in Barstow FL. Price is reasonable @ $79 each but Shipping the shipping is $234 to Walnut Creek, CA.
Are there any other options that you guys know...
Timd32, Thank You for the information. I thought the switch would do the positive / power. I hooked them up and the fogs are good. The only issue is the Halo's now don't come on unless the fogs are on as then had separate power but needed a ground and it's shared with the fogs. The only way...
OK, The Light Blue / Red/ Orange wires that are under the middle of the radiator appear to be the correct ones for the fog lamps. My problem is the red is hot with 12v all the time even with the fog lamp relay pulled and teh light blue wire has ~ 5.7 volts on it. I'm not sure what is going on...
Thanks Joe Mc, I am a TDR member but I do need to update my signiture line. I also have the 3 volume FSM, that's how I know the wires are org /rd. But the wiring harness view has a "not shown" note on the fog lamp wires (section 8).
Yea, I had to remove the bumper to install the fog lights (had to cut the depth of plastic lamp hole) and I didn't see any fog light wiring harness connections. Maybe if I remove the left side battery I might see the connection attached to the light harness. Just looking for someone that knows...
I need some help locating the Red / Orange (according to the Wiring diagram) wires / connector for the fog lamps. My new to me 2002 RAM 2500 5.9 didn't come with fog lamps, I installed a new headlight switch W / the fog lamp position, the relay in the PDC and install a set of LED fogs with...
Wow, Looks like the MBRP is the way to go. I guess it's not worth trying to save $100 on the Diamond Eye system. Thanks for the comments and recommendations.
I've got a stock 2002 quad cab SB with almost 180K miles on it (smarty chip on ECONOMY). The previous owner replace the back part of the exhaust w/ 4" pipe and a muffler, but not the front. except for the muffler it's all pretty rusty now. Looking for something not to noisey and no drone on...
Ok, First post. My question is: Is it worth doing the upgrade? Background: My 2002 RAM 2500 5.9 w/ 47RE (178K miles) which has a $6K trans rebuild / upgrade is leaking fluid out the electrical connection plug. Could be that the o-rings are dried / dead and were not replaced when it was...
